    Too wordy

While Kate Morton is one of my favorite authors and I've enjoyed all of her books, this was my least favorite. Too descriptive. So descriptive that I found myself skimming over the pages quickly just to get to the story. The story is long and doesn't really become interesting until the last third.

    The house at Riverton

A fantastic story weaving a great mystery through it. Beautifully written, drawing you and really making you see the settings

    distant hours

Brilliantly told, but the thing that started it all off was a delayed letter from the past, I might have missed a bit but what was in the letter that upset meridith. Love the twist at the end.

    Distant Hours

Intriguing till the end....slow build up but captivating. The characters are lovingly portrayed. The blitz evacuees all to real and the mystery and sadness of how time passes of regret and loves lost, makes this a must read for fans.

    Good but dragged on

The plot is good but there were many areas which dragged on. Maybe a little too much attention to detail? I preferred The Secret Keeper.
