    Thanks for your feedback!

Love a series book that can stand alone

While this book is part of the latest Texas Cattleman's Club sub-series from Harlequin Desire, I haven't yet read any of the Texas Cattleman's Club: Houston books, so I can confidently say that while this book does build in the other books, it is not reliant on the other books for the story to make sense. Hero Cord does not have an easy road to trusting and falling in love with heroine Zoe - given what is shared in the book regarding his past, it is hardly surprising that her job makes that a challenge for him. Zoe is a character that I love simply due to her fierce independence even if it is sometimes too extreme. A good read, that's going to make me find the associated books and read them.
