    Thanks for your feedback!

I saw the movie in December and was fascinated by the historical aspect of the story as much as the actual story itself. So when I got home, I ordered the book on my Kobo. The movie told basically the story of Philomena's search for her son and I was so pleased to read the book and discover that the book is actually her son's life and his search for her. Both stood independently of each other bot for my the circle was completed. The book is excellently written, you can't help but know Michael Hess (Anthony Lee) intimately early on in the book. You begin with Philomena's pregnancy and the three and a half years that Philomena and Anthony were together at Roscrea but his adoption and move to America separate not only Mother and Son, but the story splits to Anthony's life right up until his death. Philomena comes in for a very short part at the end as her search finally comes to rest at her son's grave. An absolutely fabulous book and story!

As soon as I started reading this book I could not put it down. It's a sad story that brang me to tears but the story is fascinating. It's a wonderful blend of history, religion, politics and the personal life of an orphan.
