    Trust

I recommend everyone to read this novel. It's emotive and gripping. What I found most extraordinary is that I found myself liking and despising the characters in quick succession. It was a strange experience as it was hard to figure out who was lying and who was genuine, so it made you fluctuate like zig-zagging down a road. It played havoc with your trust. Alongside that your sympathies duck and dive. Natalie doesn't seem too smart or was so young, blinded and naive that she didn't anticipate. Never trust a liar and a cheat Natalie. Jen, the ex-wife, can't leave Natalie and Nicky alone. She's lonely and needy. Nicky is immature and irresponsible. There are a few interesting issues raised like custody, solicitors, family court and PTSD. You are kept wondering about oblique references to an accident. What accident do you wonder most of the way through? A chilling story with a surprising ending. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture.

    Wow!

Oh boy, if you think the prologue messed with your head, wait untill you read the rest of the story. It's not only a bumpy road but it's one full of twists and turns as well. You don't know who you can trust and who speaks the truth and if you finally decide someone is on your side, you realize you were wrong or were you right after all? This book is full of emotions. It's full of suspense, but your heart will be affected as well. Normally the tension dies down at the end of a story because everything is resolved and revealed, but in this case it does let you go. The thread still lingers... 5 stars well deserved. Thank you, Jess Ryder, Bookouture and Negalley

Great book definitely a page turner

Great read it did keep me guessing with the many twist. First time I read a book by Jess Ryder and I did buy her next book immediately. I liked the ending somewhat but wished she had to continue for a few more pages instead of chopping it off. My thought was oh that’s it. Very abrupt.Bev
