    A delightful contemporary Christmas romance!

This is part of a “true” series. I believe that you need to read the books in order to fully follow the story line and get the full enjoyment out of them. I have to admit that I haven’t read the previous books myself. There were a number of times that I felt like I was a little confused because of that. The setting in Brighton Kingdom is the stuff that fairy tales are made of. The introduction of the history behind the bell ringing just after midnight after the Harvest Ball completely set the stage for me. I absolutely love these characters. There is a wonderful amount of detail for a number of the characters. This includes Avery Truitt, Prince Colin and those that are closest to both of them. Both Avery and Prince Colin are dealing with their own emotional conflicts. Their feelings for each other are competing with the desire to live the life they believe they are supposed to live. They are trying to trust God to lead them along the path that He has planned for them. I am highly recommending this charming story and giving it a rating of 5 stars. Is Happily Ever After Real?

Rachel Hauck can write some of the sweetest romances and A Royal Christmas Wedding is right up there! The romance between Avery and Prince Colin hit a snag when his dad put his foot down and told Colin to forget her. So, what happens now, five years later when Avery and her mother travel to the kingdom of Brighton for the Christmas season? Her sister, Princess Susanna and the King, are expecting a baby and they want to spend some time together. But what about Colin? What happens when they meet again years after he dumped her? He is now escorting a young actress around town and all expect them to announce their engagement at anytime. There is lots of miscommunication between Avery and Colin. Misunderstandings, hidden feelings also. Colin is trying very hard to listen to God's bidding as well as his own heart's. Will there be forgiveness between them? Is their relationship doomed to just being friends? I loved the story; fell in love with the characters; and felt their emotions and angst along with them. I had not read the previous "prince" stories but did not find that hindered my understanding of this novel. However, after reading this one, I'm going to go back and read the one where Avery and Colin meet for the first time (Susanna's story). Happily ever after? Read and find out! I received this book from the publisher through the Fiction Guild and was not required to write a review, positive or otherwise.

    Loved it

Very sweet and cute book. Loved how both characters remained true to God throughout the book despite troubles coming upon them. Would definitely read again.

    A Christmas romance novel!

A Royal Christmas Wedding by Rachel Hauck is the fourth book in the Royal Wedding series. Avery Truitt as well as her mother, Glo are dealing with the loss of her father in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Susanna, her sister, invites them to spend Christmas in Brighton Kingdom where she lives with her husband, King Nathaniel III. Glo is glad to get away from the memories and is excited to see Susanna (she is pregnant). Avery is not as excited. It has been five years since she has seen Prince Colin Tattersall. They were in love with each other, but Colin broke off their relationship very suddenly (and without a decent explanation). Avery has tried to get over him, but how do you forget your one true love. There is a special tradition in Brighton Kingdom that has not been observed in 182 years. At the end of the Harvest Celebration, just after the last bell rings at midnight, a man in love can ring the Pembroke Chapel Bell. He is announcing his intention to woo and marry a woman on Christmas morning. Colin has been following the path his father set out for him for the last five years. But he is still in love with Avery. He is in the bell tower just before midnight and says a prayer. The Pembroke Bell then rings by itself. This is the sign Colin needed, and he sets out to win Avery. But Avery does not wish to come between Colin and his father. Will there be a happily ever after this Christmas for these two love birds? A Royal Christmas Wedding is a sweet, predictable romance novel. I did not know this book was part of a series when I decided to read it (discovered it after I started reading the novel). It did not hinder my reading enjoyment. A Royal Christmas Wedding can be read alone. The author provides the reader with the information they need to understand and enjoy the story. The novel is nicely written, has engaging characters, good historical element, steamy romance, and has a nice Christian element. I give A Royal Christmas Wedding 4 out of 5 stars (I have to admit that I liked it). The epilogue wraps up the series with a bow.
