    Not your average vampire story!

I really had a good time with this book. It is no secret that I love a good vampire story so this book got my attention right away. I thought that this vampire world sounded just different enough to be really interesting and I knew that I would have to make reading it a priority. I was pulled into the story right away and found myself trying to read every moment that I could. I found this book to be an incredibly entertaining romance. Reyna feels like she has no other option left so she signs up to work for Visage, a company that pairs vampires with humans willing to be fed upon. Usually these positions are temporary with blood donors cycling to a different vampire after a number of weeks but Reyna is selected for a new program where she will be assigned to a single vampire on a permanent basis. This is how she finds herself moving into Beckham Anderson's penthouse. This story is told from Reyna's point of view and I liked her right away. I felt her desperation and her fear. I also understood why she felt the need to question everything she didn't understand although there were more than a few times that I wanted to warn her that speaking up may not be the wisest choice. Reyna was confused by Beckham, or Becks, at times and he was very hard to read during parts of the book especially at the start of the story. This book had enough excitement to keep things very interesting. The world that the book is set in is a little different than I have read before so I really enjoyed just getting to experience the world along with Reyna. The book did take a few rather exciting turns. I was able to guess a few of the twists but others came as a total surprise. I really liked Becks and Reyna together and thought that they had fantastic chemistry but this was definitely a romance that was very slow to start. I would recommend this book to fans of paranormal romance. This book does end with a lot of unresolved issues that will most likely be dealt with in the next book in the series. I am very excited that we will get the chance to watch the relationship between Reyna and Becks develop over the course of the series. I can't wait to read more of this amazing series! I received a digital review copy of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

    Blood Bank

I have been a vampire watcher since I was a teenager and Dark Shadows hit the TV. Since that time I have read countless books on the subject and enjoyed other current TV offerings. So.. I can say with fang-objectivity that Blood Type is an original tasty drink. Lowly but independent Reyna sees no other option but to offer herself as a blood donor for a monetary return. But of course new rules to the game are not revealed until there is no turning back. Instead of a temporary assignment all placements are permanent. Beckham is a dark dangerous and rich vampire who takes possession of Reyna. Much action and politics lend itself in Blood Type. Linde leaves her amazing characters on a cliff hanger but with the high caliper of this novel stars are not deducted. A copy of this book was supplied byRandom House Publishing Group - Loveswept via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

    Amazing!

AMAZING! In the future, vampires rule the world and humans live in misery. For many, the only way to make a living is to work for Visage as a blood escort. When Reyna becomes tired of the condition she and her brothers are living, she decides to sign up to become a blood escort. Soon she's thrust into the world of the wealthy vampires of Visage. But Beckham Anderson, Visage's Vice President and her Vampire Sponsor, won't feed off her. What will happen when Reyna starts falling for Beckham? And what will she do when she discovers secrets the vampires are trying to keep hiding from the humans? I like Paranormal Romances, but I really loved Blood Type! Reyna and Beckham's story hooked me from the first page and I couldn't put my Kindle down until I finished Blood Type. This story is full of drama, steamy scenes, secrets, surprises, action, and twists. I loved the slow burn of Reyna and Beckham's relationship and all the secrets. Blood Type kept me on my toes and I loved every second of it. Reyna is a strong and determined woman. She doesn't want to be a burden to her brothers and decides to become a blood escort. She's afraid but also curious about the vampires. She never expected to meet someone like Beckham and falling for someone like him, especially him being a vampire. I loved that she didn't let all the new found wealth get into her head and was always true to herself and her values. Beckham is a mystery. He's a dark and brooding vampire, full of secrets. He's a powerful vampire and he's used to get what he wants when he wants. But Reyna turns his world upside down and he falls deeply for her. He made me swoon a lot, but he can also be a jerk. I loved how protective he was of Reyna. This is my first book by K.A. Linde and it won't be the last. Blood Type is the perfect Paranormal Romance, with a phenomenal and captivating story and amazing characters. Reyna and Beckham's story will hook you from the first page with all its drama, secrets, twists, action and steamy scenes. And the cliffhanger will make you scream and demand for Blood Match to be released right now!

    4 Stars!

I feel like at this point vampires are written about a lot. Some are done really well and some are overdone and cliche. Linde manages to give a semi fresh and exciting look at the vampire / human relationship during what might be considered, but isn't necessarily, a post-apocalyptic / major economic downfall in the world. Now humans are living in slums and planning a rebellion and the vampires are slowly taking over... I was hoping for something completely different and was not disappointed. Some who are desperate, like Reyna-our heroine- find themselves in the employ of VISAGE a vampire run company that pairs vampires with human blood donors. Reyna signs up to be part of a new program that pairs her permanently with a vampire or until one of them break the agreement. Her pairing leaves her stuck with the infuriatingly silent and extremely handsome and frustrating Beckham who is one of the top Vampires of Visage. There are of course hints at a love triangle, a very well done antagonistic and wonderful world building. Some suspense and mystery to keep us even more interested. I should have, but I did not expect the slow burn, and the mixed feelings from both characters. Lindy is known very well for writing fabulous characters that you just want to wring their neck because they're so frustrating but you keep reading because the story is just so fantastic and you have to know how it ends. I did start to put things together at about 75-80%. Things were starting to click and make more sense. I was beinning to worry when I hit 85% because, how in the world was she going to wrap this major issue up? Unfortunately for us readers this one ends in a major cliffhanger which requires us to wait for the next book. This doesn't necessarily bother me though, I'm excited and curious to see how Linde pulls book 2 together, which I will most definitely read.

*5 Stars for the 1st of a fantastic PNR series!

This series has been at the top of my “most anticipated” reads since Kyla announced it. I am usually not over the moon into this paranormal type genre mixed with some romance, but Kyla found a way for this first book in the series to consume me and I devoured this in 2 sittings! The first of the series, Blood Type, we are thrust into a world that is very different from our own. Vampires have changed the world and the way humans live in it. In an almost dystopian society of sorts, Reyna seeks out a job at the largest company in the world, Visage. She is placed with the very brooding and mysterious Beckham Anderson. He’s a higher up in Visage and she is placed with him as his blood escort. What she expects her world to look like, is far from what occurs once she steps foot into Becks life. The things she wants from him, he won’t give her. The things she was expecting from him, she doesn’t get. While their chemistry is obvious form the first moment they meet, the distance he places between them is very surprising and unnerving to Reyna. Becks is a character that provides us so much angst and edginess, you are not sure whether to love or hate him (I choose the later). As the story begins to unfold and new characters are placed into the mix, you see what is really going on in this world of humans living amongst the more dominant vampires. As expected, Kyla has added enough twists and turns to keep your head spinning throughout the entire book and not know where or when it will stop. This is the first of a series of 3 books and does end in a cliffhanger. Even if you aren’t a paranormal romance reader, you will be after you read this book. My whole perspective on the literary world was jolted into a tail spin. Kyla has managed lure me into this genre and my new obsession over this series! Blood Match, coming June 26th. My heart, dying slowly everyday til then.
