    I wanted to love it

When I read the synopsis of this book, it sounded very similar to my experience. . With a few notable discrepancies but none the less .. similar experiences and feelings as I navigated my way through active addiction. I found myself understanding the peices deemed discrepancies more than I had anticipated and I think anyone .. male or female will find similarities between their own experiences or the experience of being close to someone in the throws of addiction. I really don't want to (or feel right to be critical in any way of how this was written) say anything negative .. and the following isn't negative persay but I found myself wishing thwre was more details .. throw in some more how she felt at that time. It moved so quick then it was over. I think the title says it all.. she did lose an arm and a leg which I think in this particular case saved this girls life. It's too bad that is the case but I bet if one was to get the chance to ask her for her opinion, she would agree. Personally I think daily how fortunate I was to escape my addiction fairly unscathed. Physically anyways. Mentally is obviously a different story, but one day at a time. I recommend this book for someone to read if they are exploring this genre, but I probably wouldn't recommend this being the only book on addiction one reads. I don't think it would resignation with everyone and I think there are a lot of better addiction to recovery books but that's just my opinion.

It Cost Me an Arm and a Leg.

This book had the chance to be something amazing, but it was poorly written. The author went through amazing struggles and came out the other side shining, but the grammar, punctuation and overall flow of the story was a mess. She jumps around so often with her story that it's a little hard to follow. With the right editor, this book could really be something great; the actual story is mind-blowing.
