I read it quickly for a few reasons

I think I knew about as much as anyone else who follows Green's youtube about this book, but I didn't realize how much I would relate to it. As someone who copes with anxiety and depression, this book hit me right in the face. There was so much about Aza's thought spirals that I could relate to, and, unfortunately, there was so much in her friendship with Daisy that I could parallel to my own experience of friendship. As I read into Aza's thought spirals, I began to fall into spirals of my own. As I watched her friendship struggle to survive, I remembered my own weaknesses. As I watched her unlikely love bloom, I was just jealous. I started this book thinking it would be a quick, emotional read, much like Green's previous works. And then I started reading it quickly to get it out of my house. It is so beautifully and emotionally written that I rushed to finish it because I needed to know what happened and I needed to stop sobbing at work. Green has a habit of making his characters a little more philosophically farfetched than most high school students can manage being in the real world, but that is also their charm. His deep thoughts about the world and the people who inhabit it cannot but permeate his work. They might not be the most realistic representations of teens, but you still feel yourself relating to their struggles, even if they aren't struggles you've ever been through yourself (at least I know I've never had to draw straws on who will wear the mouse costume at Chuck-e-Cheese). The plot is also a little transparent at times--the climax, for instance, is very clearly the climax--but what it lacks in creative development it makes up for in character realateability. I recommend this book for people who know people who live with mental illness or distress. This is by no means a definitive look into what anything looks like because ever individual experiences their distresses differently, but this is an emotionally charged way to experience one version of what it's like to be alive.

    A Good book for Anyone.

I loved this story as a character study of life with OCD. It was at times painfully descriptive, but still poetically written. The plot was perhaps a bit thin, but I don't think the plot was the point in this case and it did still carry the characters to the places they needed to be. In conclusion maybe not a perfect work but still it succeeds at what it intends.

Wish I was better at words

I am a person who identifies as a nerdfighter. That makes it challenging to not go into Turtles All the Way Down already loving it. having just finnished it, I now have many actual reasons to justify loving your book. Most importantly, Aza makes me feel okay about my first love. Thank you, John.

    Love this book

This is the type of book that I will always recommend to people . I feel that this is a book that teenagers should be required to read for their English class.

Hit me right in the feels

As someone who suffers from severe OCD I have never connected so strongly with a piece of literature.
