    Lauren Layne did it again!

Everything about Lauren Layne's writing is my favorite, so I was excited to know we were getting Matt's story! This book was just what I needed to get out of my book funk. It was funny and sweet, but it also had me questioning what Matt and Sabrina were thinking! We met both Matt and Sabrina in book 1 of the series, and I was surprised to see both of their names on this one! Neither of them believe in love, marriage or the happily ever after part, so watching these two was so much fun. They hate either, or so they claim, and when Matt needs Sabrina's help to clean up his image, you're dying at how they interact, yet try to resist how they truly feel. I loved everything about Matt and Sabrina's story. It can be read as a standalone, but if you want some laughs, reading book one is an amazing idea.

    LOVED this book!!!

LOVED this book!!! I loved this first book in the series (Hot Asset) and thought it would be hard to top.....nope, the author created another wonderful book, that, while part of the series, is its own unique story. I had been intrigued by Sabrina in the first book and really wanted to learn her story. The author delivers with a compelling back story that made Sabrina the woman she now is. Even better, the author did the same with Matt, even when I didn't realize that I wanted to know more about him. Neither back story is pretty, but they work to create these characters that are so fully developed that they seemed like real people as I read their tale. Contemporary romance at its best! This is a must read for fans of the genre -put this one at the top of your TBR list. This is only the second book I've read by this author, but I've added her to my must read authors' list. While this novel is part of a series (21 Wall Street), this is a stand alone book. However, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all

    Loving, sparing and sparks!

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title compliments of NetGalley and the publisher** I really enjoyed the first book in the 21 Wall Street series and I was anxiously awaiting the second book. I was not at all disappointed! These books are filled with great characters and you can't help but want to pull for them! Matt Cannon may still be young for someone in his position, but he is smart as a whip and has risen quickly through the ranks at the firm due to his brilliance. Where he isn't always as smart is in his personal life. A poor decision at the bachelor party he was attending in Vegas gets blown out of proportion and lands him on the front page of the Wall Street Journal and has predictably landed him in hot water with his bosses and put his ethics into question for the clients. His bosses tell him he has to clean up his act and fast. But how exactly will he do that? Sabrina Cross can fix just about anything and so when in doubt, Sabrina's your lady. When Matt finds himself in need, he calls in Sabrina, but knows it won't be all smooth sailing. While these two have known one another for years, they clash like nothing else due to past baggage. Even with that looming over them, Sabrina is the best at what she does and being able to act as Matt's girlfriend to help right his image is something she knows she can do. But the question is, can she keep feelings out of it and keep it strictly professional? I loved this book and the chemistry between Sabrina and Matt was evident from the get-go. It didn't matter if they were sparring or loving, the sparks were there and it was fun to hang on for the ride to see where they eventually ended up. I also can't wait to see what happens in the next installment. I'm hoping Kennedy gets out of his own way and finds happiness. This is such a fun series of books and one that I've quickly come to love.

    Frienimies to lovers

This is the second in the 21 Wall Street series. We met Matt Cannon and Sabrina Cross is book one, and the best way to describe them is frienemies-with-benefits. Matt is a boy wonder broker and Sabrina is a fixer for the rich. Matt comes back from a Vegas bachelor party to find a picture of him getting a lap dance splashed across the pages of the Wall Street Journal. His bosses let him know that he has to turn his image around, or they will let him go. Of course, he goes to the one woman he fights with and periodically has sex with, Sabrina. Sabrina agrees to act as his girlfriend, but only if they are hands off. This is the set up to their happily ever after. I thought all of the characters were well developed and their backstory was compelling. This book is a lot of fun. I was provided an ARC by NetGalley for my honest review.

    Matt and Sabrina's story

I thought this was a good read! This was a first for me from this author, and the writing kept my attention from the start. I thought Matt and Sabrina had great chemistry! Even when they're arguing, you could tell that there was a spark there. Although it's eventually revealed why Sabrina was hurt by what Matt said to her when they first met, I felt like she was WAY to hard on him over it. He didn't know her situation, and it wasn't said maliciously. I haven't read the first book in this series, but I didn't feel like it kept me from enjoying this one. I hope the next one is Kennedy and Kate's story! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
