  • Amazing

Hilarious, sweet, and thought pro. Loved revisiting these characters and watching Luc and Oliver grow even more as people. I was looking forward to this for months, and it did not disappoint!

  • Good story. Good narration.

I adored the first book in this series. Boyfriend Material is a perpetual reread for me because it is filled with humor, the exploration of personal growth, the evolution of relationships with friends and family, and serious social topics. This book continues the exploration of these topics, but also explores the way people experience love, relationships, and marriage differently. The difference between a marriage, a relationship, the legal rights associated with marriage, and a wedding ceremony seem to get jumbled somewhere along the way. It felt like the different types of ceremonies were meant to show how different people approach relationships. The problem I struggled with was that I don't associate marriage with a wedding ceremony. I associate marriage with a commitment to a relationship that has very little to do with ceremonies or legal rights. Plenty of marriages are celebrated a with ceremony, but I am probably arguing semantics so.... I enjoyed this book. I adore the characters. I still don't understand what all the fuss over weddings is about. This book didn't give me any insight, but I enjoyed the experience of listening to characters come unglued over dresses, music, and food. The narration was great, and I am looking forward to the next book.

    Thanks for your feedback!
