A good start for a new series

This is the first audiobook of the series titled The Summers Sisters and it belongs to Hailey, the oldest of the girls. She is an award winning photographer but her earnings are not enough to pay the back taxes of the family cottage. A cottage that has belonged to the family for many generations. She had promised her sick Mom that she would take care of them. She is desperate since she has also mortgaged her home to help her family. She is willing to lower her standards in order to get money by becoming a papparazi to get photos of a Hollywood bad boy vacationing in her town. Little does she know, that actor Finn, is trying to get away that image. But his agent is pressuring him to be the “bad boy” and get in the news. Somehow there is chemistry between these two, while circumstances are pulling each other away from what they really feel is right. Will they each get what they want or will the summer be one that neither can recover and get what they want? It was a sweet and funny story filled with lots of pull and push, misunderstandings and of course romance. I was entrusted this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

    Love a great audio

This is book 1 of a new series. Loved it. The author knows how to write stories that have a pull you in. You won’t want to put it down till the end . I can connect to the story since it takes place in my home Province . Hero is Finian. A movie star . Heroine is Hailey oldest of all the sisters who is a local photographer. Finian is vacationing in Muskoka Canada , He took off from LA when he broke of with his love . Finian is having a quite time in Ontario. He can’t believe how quiet it is up in Muskoka . He needs to do something to get his picture in the tabloids so the industry doesn’t forget him . Hailey is in a bind . . The family house (cottage) might be taken away from them for not paying property taxes by the government. Hailey needs to do something drastic and that will pay lots. She gets an idea....take a shot of Finian doing some down and dirty and sell it to the tabloids. Only thing is she’s not that type of reporter. While both Hailey and Finian are trying to do something, one thing leads to another and sparks start to fly . Does Hailey achieve her goal. Does she save the home Vanessa was good. Her voice was clear , smooth and strong she did all the characters perfectly

Finding Love When U Least Expect It

“I was like an invisible soul no one had noticed for years. And then there you were. Seeing me.” I truly enjoyed Love and Rumors. It’s a very sweet, funny and heartwarming tale. It’s about two people feeling like they have the weight of the world resting on their shoulders and them not wanting to let anyone down. About learning to open oneself up to other possibilities, sharing the burden and finding one’s self again. Finian and Hailey partner up in hopes of solving both their problems. What started out as them using each other as a means to an end quickly develops into something more when love steps in. Hailey tries to deny the attraction but the more she uncovers the true Finian the deeper she falls. Just when she starts to let her walls come down Hollywood comes knocking and threatens to tear them apart. The conclusion to Finian and Hailey’s whirlwind romance left me wanting more. I can’t wait to find out what destiny has in store for Maya. I also liked the narrator. I felt she did a great job with each individual voice. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by her. (4.5⭐️) (4.5⭐️)

    Really enjoyed it

I have been a fan of Jean Oram for a while, but this is the first audiobook for me. I loved Hailey and Fin, the main characters, who are artists in different genres; Hailey, a feisty oldest child, a nature photographer; Fin, a movie star who has drifted away from his real artistic passion. I enjoy a story that is more than a simple love story. In this book, we see real growth in the characters, especially as Fin struggles with the decision to risk his future by following his passion, while being mindful of his responsibility to those depending on his choices. It also confirms the idea that celebrity is not all glamour, particularly when dealing with unwanted publicity. Overall, the narrator did a good job, but I think it is often difficult for a narrator to effectively pull off characters of the opposite gender. I think Vanessa Moyen over compensated a little for the difference in pitch between the characters' voices and Fin came across as more gruff than he was otherwise portrayed.
