  • triple play good author, good story, good narrator

If I say I ‘enjoyed’ the story would suggest that I ‘enjoy’ murder and mayhem. What I enjoyed was once again Stephen King’s ability, through his thought processes and writing, to knock me off my feet! But wait: that ability was amplified by another contributor: Will Patton, the narrator. His art is to find a subtle ‘voice’ for each character but the differences perfectly reflect Mr. King’s diabolical character profiles! This book in my opinion would certainly appeal to Stephen King enthusiasts: those who gladly go along for the bumpy, twisting road to the last page and read by a really good vocal interpreter, Will Patton. Up next “Needful Things” by this author and this narrator.

  • Mr. Mercedes

Typically excellent Stephen King writing even though it is just cop vs. Serial killer.

Finally a book to compair to my first Stephen king read! Salems Lot.its kept me afraid to close my eyes after dark.Mr . Mercedes has made me chew my fingers half off.the characters where believable so far as to make u despise the villian, wanting to run him over with his ice cream truck but at the same time feeling pity and also understanding his poor twisted mind!
