    Amazing

Nick has an amazing voice for every single character in the novel. The different characters were easily distinguishable and their individual moods and temperaments/attitudes consistently and accurately displayed. Having already read the book once before, this audio representation gave new light and was a wonderful experience.

    Wonderful!

This is the best, most detailed world I have fallen in to since Harry Potter! This audiobook never gets old for me! It is well read and the more I listen the more I find in it.

    Favorite book out of thousands.

I’ve read a lot of books in the past 15 years. A lot. More than anyone I personally know. This book is my favorite. Hands down. I’m not saying it’s perfect, it definitely has its flaws, but it’s the authors first novel! That being said, it IS perfect. To my knowledge, Rothfuss rewrites and edits everything countless times in order to achieve the silky rhythmic prose you’ll flow in a free fall with. His literary skills are top notch. There’s not an element flawlessly executed often yet subtly. The story is semi unique, while painfully obviously modern fantasy, the character development and detail with the dialogue and depth, I’ve never felt so invested in a character. Similar to Kaladin in Sandersons TWOK. The tragedy is tear jerking, the Magic is 10/10, several systems with the foremost being sympathy, a scientific magic taught in school. They plot.. as far as the conflict and/or antagonist, eh.. you learn about the major main big scary bad guys early on.. and never again, everything is all about the journey up to the real action. The trilogy is basically a prologue in 3 parts. And somehow, it’s still an all time favorite, above LOTR, Harry Potter, The way of Kings etc. Will the 3rd book ever be finished? Hopefully, maybe? Will it be worth it? Knowing Rothfuss, and the time he’s taken, it’s either going to come out in the near future and be unbelievable, or it’ll never come out. Either way, I highly recommend reading this and the wise mans fear, the reading (or listening, nick pohdel does so good!) experience is so good it doesn’t even matte.

    Decent

The audio quality was stuttering, chapter 82 repeated its self until I manually moved to the next chapter. The story was hit and miss for me, some characters and scenes were great but others dragged.
