    Very cute and funny

I didn't think I'd like this as much as I did. Definitely brought me some laughs and warm feelings to a stressful week.

    Enjoyable

Enjoyable and sweet romance following the first son of America, Alex Claremont-Diaz, as he falls for his arch nemesis, Henry, the Prince of Wales. The fact that Alex did not even realise Prince Henry was gay, or that he himself was bisexual, added greatly to the entertainment value. Lots of politics within this book that I’ve got to say I’m not a fan of (that’s just personal to myself and it didn’t distract from the story too much). I love m/m romance, add in the forbidden aspect of their positions, including the fact that neither of them had actually publicly declared their sexuality, along with all the sneaking around, and it all added to my enjoyment. I loved the support that Alex received from his direct family, but I was disheartened that both families were worried more about their public image. I loved their supporting cast, they really made the book for me. I listened to this via Kobo and loved the narration from Ramón de Ocampo, I particularly like his take on Alex.

A modern-day Romeo and Juliet for the LGBTQIA+ co

Casey McQuiston crafts a tale of two star-crossed lovers, forbidden to love each other for political and symbolical reasons. The two men cross every obstacle in their paths to find a way to make their relationship work. The compelling characters and stunning narrative drew me in right from the start. I'm not usually a fan of Rom-Coms, but this story had me laughing the entire way through. The narration was superb from start to finish. If you like a touching story full of love, loss, and some pretty crazy antics to hook up, then this story is most definitely a must-read.
