  • Burns and restores you with a demand for personal insight...

If you view life through excrement stained lenses, this book will probably help you in several practical ways. It guides you through a process of breaking yourself down to fundamentals. Then, it admonishes you to accept this 'default self' and to begin recognizing and redirecting future actions away from it. The idea is to stop breathing new life into ultimately unchangeable parts of your early imprinted, unconscious mind through futile efforts to improve them. The author teaches readers that, rather than constantly reinforcing the notion that what you can become is somehow bound linearly to a past you did not choose, your goals should begin to be informed by your own imagined future, chipping away backwards to remove obstacles preventing full expression of this new you. This may sound like a lot that you've heard before, and there may indeed be some overlap. But if you stick with this book to the end, you may find that the puzzle is put together in a decidedly accessible and straightforward way. You may actually believe it all this time. I did. Hope this helps.

  • Good audiobook

I enjoyed this audiobook however, I enjoy all self help, get out of your own way type of books. It’s nothing you haven’t already heard or read before but definitely worth a listen.

  • Poor

The voice of the reader irritating. The message shallow. One can find similar information on the social media. Too many inappropriate vocabulary. In general, waste of time.
