Just when you think you know

Just when you think you have it figured out...not a chance. Then there’s another layer and another.

    It was alright, well written

I thought the book was well written, but I found it dragged on a bit. I found myself getting bored with the protagonist’s inner monologue. Another thing that made me frustrated was her similarities to other novels main characters. For instance, The Woman in Cabin 10 or The Girl on the Train. Alcoholic woman, questioning woman’s sanity. It felt old, like I’d already read the story before. I’ll admit the ending was clever, but I figured it out pretty early on.

Slow to start, but fantastic finish

I really enjoy the psychological thriller book, so right from the start, I was hooked, looking for the angle. I guessed wrong and was surprised by all the twists and turns. Couldn't stop listening from the middle to the end. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for suspense and drama.

    Gripping, But Twisted

This is a great thriller, which builds the atmosphere well. There's definitely a reason there's still a line of like 70 people waiting for this book at my library. Yes, it's another one of those "homebound person sees a crime through the window" stories, but it does it quite well. Our narrator is seriously troubled and clearly unreliable, so who can blame the police for having doubts? Yet, nonetheless, I still did not quite see the ending coming. Well worth adding to the permanent collection.

    Captivated my interest

The story line was easy to follow with very descriptive caricatures. I enjoy listening to a book while doing other activities so it’s important to me that the story being told is simple to follow but keeps my interest.
