    Great book, fantastic narrator!

All of the Outlander books are narrated by Davina Porter and she does an incredible job of acting out the different voices of the many characters. The stories come alive when she reads them. Written in my Own Heart's Blood is the latest book in the Outlander series and highlights the author's ability to wring every emotion from her readers. A great adventure story!

    Really unnecessary content

I really enjoy this series but it seems like the publishers said to Diana- put lots of gruesome details about 18th century surgery because readers want that. There are long detailed chapters about an irrelevant character getting a leg amputation another irrelevant character getting surgery on female anatomy! Really - just stick to main characters- there were too many introduced. Did this book really need to be 145 chapters? Could you have spent a bit more than one paragraph to explain how Briana cans Roger ended up?

As addictive as the rest of the Outlander books

I thought this would be the last book of the Outlander series and I wanted to savor it at least till the show comes back on TV for this season. It's my #1 entertainment in either version. With this book Diana G. didn't disappoint. Lots of unexpected events as always, but the finish leaves you wanting to read more / you can't wait to find out what's going to happen next . That's how I realized there will be more and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. I hope she will release it soon.
