Colleen Hoover is a New York Times best-selling romance, thriller, and young adult fiction author. Her most popular titles include It Ends With Us, its sequel,
It Starts With Us and Verity, with other titles finding a place among the top-ranked book titles worldwide. Hoover's novels address themes of love, loss, betrayal,
and redemption, with special praise for her realistic portrayal of relationships. Today, many fondly refer to Hoover as CoHo, with dedicated fans calling themselves
her CoHorts. She has published over twenty novels translated into several languages and sold more than 20 million books worldwide.
Hoover self-published her first novel, Slammed, in 2012 as a way to share the story with her family who had recently purchased an eReader. However, her novel quickly
caught the attention of book bloggers, thereby launching her writing career. Slammed tells the story of a whirlwind romance between a young woman and a poet,
capturing the magic and confusion of first love and secrets that threaten to tear them apart. Hoover's emotion-packed debut novel found great success, debuting
at number one on the New York Times Bestseller list for eBooks. Like her first, Hoover's second novel, Point of Retreat, was met with tremendous critical acclaim,
earning her spots on several best-selling lists.
Her later work includes the novels Ugly Love (2014), Maybe Someday (2014), November 9 (2016), and All Your Perfects (2017). In 2015, Colleen's novel, Confess,
won the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance. Her following title, It Ends With Us, also won the Choice Award for Best Romance.
Colleen Hoover was born on December 11, 1979, in Sulphur Springs, Texas where she lives with her husband and their three boys. Before finding her start as a
romance and young adult author, Hoover worked various social work and teaching jobs. As such, her novels draw close inspiration from her previous careers and
family-life experiences. In addition to being a bestselling author, Hoover and her family founded a non-profit called “The Bookworm Box,” a bookstore and monthly
subscription service providing readers with the opportunity to receive signed novels from rising authors worldwide.
