    True Refuge

    One can tell that this book is coming from the trend to conflate western psychological practices with Asian/American Buddhist teachings. It feels more as if the author started to write a self-help book with obligatory acronym self-analysis tool and then wandered off to discuss Vipassana. But it seems to come from a very sincere person who is on the path themselves who is taking the time to share with the reader what has worked for her. In the nature of Buddhist teaching one should try these on for veracity in one's own practice and include what works for you. I would recommend it if you are curious about western mindfulness and what it might be as a trend in Western Buddhist thought.
