    Truly heartbreaking

I had to remind myself throughout the book the this is a work of nonfiction. This truly happened to a poor, innocent child. I could not imagine bring in Cathy's shoes, she has the patience of a goddess.

    Tragic

Heart breaking, shocking with love in spades. A family to be proud of and the willingness to share all that with another less fortunate. A rare gift indeed.

    Why

As a parent, grandparent, and licensed day care provider this book made me ask myself why. Why did it take so long for social services to finally realize that this poor child had been so horribly abused by her parents? The final foster family who loving helped her are a one in a million type of advocates that I believe all children should have.
