I really enjoyed this book and have since read all in the series. Her fast paced accounts of events involving mysteries in different churches or "holy" places around the world remind me a bit of Dan Brown's novels .Shorter reads and vey exciting.

Great story, but not enough exposition

"Show, don't tell." JF Penn seems not to know this cardinal rule of writing. This is a fantastic story poorly written. She tells most of the story from an omnipotent outside POV that summarizes the most important parts of the story. I wanted more of each location, more dialogue and less interminable summaries of what happened. Otherwise it's a good story. She just tells it in a boring way. See anything by Stephen King or Tom Clancy for perfect examples of showing events, not telling of them!

    A real page turner.

It's an amazing read. Kept me engrossed for hours wanting to know 'what's next?'. Love the plot, the adventures encountered by both, Morgan and Jake across various parts of the globe, and the unseen tension that is portrayed throughout the pages.
