  • A must read book

The first book in the Imdalind series is an exciting, heart wrenching story of love, loss and magic. Ryland grows up hiding the truth of his life and his magic from Joclyn, his best friend and true love. She is also hiding a secret, but that secret turns out to be much bigger than she could ever have imagined. When the truth of their lives is uncovered, they are thrown into a battle for survival, as Edmund, Ryland's father, tries to destroy them all. Ryland and Joclyn's connection draws you in and captures your heart, while the authors writing makes you feel the love, friendship, sacrifice and devastation these characters experience. Wyn's buoyant personality adds some humour to the book and the potential of a love triangle, with the powerful Ilyan, flickers in the background creating anxiety. The plot grabs you and keeps you on the edge of your seat right to the end of the book, leaving you desperate to read the next one in the series.

  • Enjoyable to read

It is an OK excersise, but not something that actually moved me. Which is a shame because there were some scenes that were good, but lead to boring patches. What is the point of a chase scene or uber fight scene is something is not learned about the characters involved? It would have been far better for the plot for the two lovers to leave before her mark was discovered; it felt like half the book was wasted because after her mark was discovered you could have virtually jumped to the last 10 pages without missing too much. Yeah, you learned about her training and everyone's family relationships, but that didn't actually change anything did it?

  • Kiss Of Fire

Great book, but I think it was bit bit boring at the started, and slow to get into the book. But I am happy I did not stop reading it. Its a great book series.

  • Kiss of fire

This book was aweeeesomeee!!! Couldn't put it down but I wish Jos had more courage like the whole book I felt like she was this defenseless little girl that everyone had to protect I like her character but she could use a little boost in the courage department and the book was kind of hard to read it was like the author was trying to describe all the emotions that was going through Jos and it came out jumbled and just too much but other that this was very much a page a page turner :-)

    Thanks for your feedback!
