  • A Carrion Death.

Great Botswanan Detective mystery! A corpse dumped near a water hole in an isolated game reserve leads to a series of baffling murders. Great plot with surprising twists and a totally unexpected conclusion. Loved the characters - Inspector Kubu - "Kubu" means hippopotamus in Tswana - of gigantic girth and an amateur Opera singer in his police jeep, is both lovable and smart. Found the insights into African culture illuminating and the insights into the Botswanan way of life intriguing. Evey bit as good - if not better- than McCall-Smiths "Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency"! Highly recommended!

    Thanks for your feedback!
