  • Awesome friends to lovers romance!

I went into A Co-Worker's Crush feeling bittersweet, knowing it is the final book in The Rooftop Crew series, but what I can say is that Piper Rayne gave us a fantastic story to send this crew off. Jax and Frankie are co-workers at Inked Envy and they are more enemies than friends. They definitely know how to press one another's buttons! Both of them have been through their fair share of hardships in their lives and so neither of them trust easily nor are they certain that long-term love is for them. Frankie's five-year old daughter, Jolie, looks to Jax as a father figure and while he loves spending time with her, the idea of being anyone's father doesn't feel like something that he would be good at. It's funny how things can change in the blink of an eye and how everything can be put into perspective. Will this trio end up finding a family with one another or will the past end up winning out in the end? Both Frankie and Jax knew exactly who they were, but they both also grew as this story progressed. It was great to see how they were able to bring the best out of one another. Plus, when you have a little girl as adorable as Jolie, how can anyone resist her?! ADORABLE! I'm sad to see the Rooftop Crew series conclude, but I LOVE that there is a tie to this group in the hockey books that are coming in the new year. Looking forward to what's to come from this talented duo!

  • Phenom Finale!

As sad as I was to see this story I was also so in love with both of these characters from the time they were both introduced in this series and was happy to finally see how their story turned out.  And what a story it was. Jax and Frankie have had a bit of my heart from the get-go and I knew their story was going to be an epic finale to this fantastic series.  Way to go Piper Rayne! Jax loves the life he leads, no responsibilities but himself, loves his job and loves his freedom.  Or so he thinks.  Enter his co-worker Frankie and she slowly changes his way of thinking. Frankie is a single mom trying to navigate her burgeoning career and keeping her mom guilt to a minimum. When she first meets Jax, there is such animosity between them.  But there is a very thin line between love and hate, Frankie and Jax are the very definition of that. Their chemistry is off the charts hot, white-hot, hotter than the hinges on the gates of Hades!  I'll admit, even after the numerous romance books I have read and reviewed, I caught myself blushing and have to grab my old lady fan to cool myself off after reading some of their smexy times! This story was the perfect ending to a group of people that I fell for hard!  I know I will be re-reading all of these stories again in the future!

  • A great book in a fun series

What a great way to end this series! This is the last of the Rooftop Crew series that centers around the lives and loves of a groups of twenty-somethings (think friends, but upstate New York instead of Manhattan). Jax Owens and Frankie Grant work together at Ink Envy and are constantly pushing each other’s buttons. Underneath all that tension is something other than antagonism. I think that this might be my favorite book in this series. I was given a copy of this book from the author for my honest opinion.

  • Another series comes to an end!!

What started out as a three part series, has become six amazing books filled with characters we’d all love to have as friends. From Blanca and Ethan to Frankie and Jax, this has been a fabulous run through the streets of Clifton Heights. The Rooftop Crew has sadly reached the last installment and ‘A Co-Worker’s Crush is it. The heat and sexual tension has been building for this last couple during the previous books and now they are going to set fire to their own tale. Jax has promised us a hot, sexy story ever since he strutted into Ink Envy and basically made himself at home there. Frankie is a single mom and just trying to get through life. She’s not looking for love, or complications and she sure isn’t looking at Jax, or so she’s been telling herself!!! But, when her young daughter asks for Jax to be her daddy, she doesn’t know what to do or say. Jax, however, has a big heart and he’s going to do what it takes to make Jolie’s dream come true. So, hold onto your heart, because Jax and Jolie are going to steal it if you’re not careful. This was an amazing story to end this fabulous series with. Fun, a little angst and all the usual snarky, sexy banter your heart desires. This is a guaranteed winner for a One-Click selection, so let your fingers do the tapping, lol.

  • My favourite

5 Star Review A Co-Worker’s Crush (The Rooftop Crew #6 ) by Piper Rayne   This is book 6 in the latest series from Piper Rayne and is my favourite book in the series so far. From the first chapter I was absolutely captivated with the story that Piper Rayne wove about Jax and Frankie. This is an enemies to lover’s story that ticked all the boxes for me. The chemistry between Jax and Frankie is impossible to ignore. Their story is steamy, funny and the banter was witty and I had a hard time putting this one down. Trying to deal with his past , the last thing that he needs is a relationship, particularly with single mum, Frankie. I loved the relationship that Jax developed with her daughter, it was heart warming and added an additional layer to the story. As always it was great to catch up with the other members of The Rooftop Crew.
