    A cowboys baby

What a heart warming story. Loved this strong cowboy brought down to his knees by an unexpected bundle of joy. Great read.

A fun series to read... even 11 book

Wow, are we really 11 books in? Where did the time go? Since these folks aren't really McGavin, perhaps the series should be rebranded with the town name? I enjoyed this one, but would like to have followed this pair just a little further into the future, to see the transition of instant family. The end, to me seemed abrupt, even rushed... although with a kid in the picture and the forest fire that blazes between them, perhaps quicker is better. This book takes place over about 1-2 weeks, which is almost as long as Emma and Gage's initial fling lasted. I like that he couldn't get her out of his head after more than a year, so he goes lookin for her. That's all before he knows he's a dad. Of course, his sudden appearance would be surprising to anyone after that time. Hate that she shut the door in his face without telling him about Josh, but she makes it right. How she knows how to track him to his dad's new hometown, we don't know, but she does get lucky and stumbles on him. This one involves two grown people being grown ups together, with nearly a whole community rooting for them. I like that they aren't bitter and hateful. They just are and deal. Who knew people could just be without being spiteful and ugly or broken.

Another sweet and engaging story in this series

The author takes us back to Eagle’s Nest , the hometown of the McGavin clan, and now also the Sawyer’s. The Sawyer siblings are the off-springs of Quinn Sawyer, Kendra McGavin’s sweetheart. This story belongs to Gage Sawyer, and Emma Green. Gage is the drifter of the family who has left his old stomping grounds as well as his job and is now staying with his Dad. Emma is the girl he had a two week affair nineteen months prior. Somehow he hasn’t forgotten her but when he goes to visit her, she shuts to door in his face. She shows up in Eagle’s Nest the next day, and from then on , Gage’s life will never be the same. These two have to navigate through old feelings, new ones, and how the consequences of that night has changed theirs lives forever. Can they trust their feelings, or should they continue with the way they are leading their lives? Along with their story, we are reminded of the importance of family. We also get a chance to visit with Kendra, Quinn and a few of their children. All in all another sweet, and engaging story in this series. Wonder if Pete’s story will be next. I was entrusted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
