    It kept me engaged

The first line of this novella had me laughing out loud! In this installment of the Talk Radio Mysteries by Mary Kennedy, Dr. Maggie Walsh, radio talk show host, and her producer, Vera Mae, attend a fundraiser at a 1930's mansion. While participating in a scavenger hunt Maggie and friends find more than they were looking for - namely the body of the architect overseeing the renovations of the mansion. Maggie and friends decide toaid the police in the search for the killer. I enjoyed the story and the plot, and found the dialogue and quirky characters engaging. However, I would suggest the author find a good proofreader as I noticed several errors that should have been corrected.

    Secrets and Surprises

Dr. Maggie is back in this short story of the Talk Radio Mysteries series by Mary Kennedy. This is a faced paced read with plenty of twists and turns! Maggie attends a charity fundraiser in a beautiful South Florida mansion. While taking part in a scavenger hunt she stumbles over a dead body in a secret passageway. Maggie is not going to sit back and let the police handle this case, she gets herself right into investigating. An excellent read with fun characters and secrets to uncover. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

    Great Short Read

A Deadly Fundraiser Talk Radio Mystery Series #4 by Mary Kennedy. Talk Show Radio Host Dr. Maggie Walsh is attending a fundraiser gala at a mansion in Cypress Grove, FL, which is soon to be the new Center for the Arts. During the scavenger hunt Dr. Maggie and her friends Vera Mae and Nick stumble over a dead body in a secret room in the basement. Can Dr. Maggie and her friends help Police Detective Rafe Martino solve the murder or will they end up in danger themselves? This is my first book to read in this series I would please with the storyline as it is a well written mystery. I really enjoyed camaraderie between Dr. Maggie and her friends, Vera Mae, Nick, and Detective Rafe. I really liked Dr. Maggie’s mother as she is a quirky character, she is determined to better her acting career but sometime confuses information she is given like thinking CBS instead of CVS. This was a fairly quick read but had enough twist and turns to keep you guessing who is the real murderer until the end. I would recommend this book to fans of the Talk Radio Mystery Series and cozy mystery lovers alike. This is a great example of a cozy mystery as there is no graphic language, sex, or language. I will definitely read the previous books in the series.

    A Great Series Returns!

A fast-paced, page turning, quick read in a series that I need to read the books I haven't read yet. A fun fundraiser leads to a death, and whodunit? This book kept me reading with twists and turns and a couple of hair-raising spots. It's an excellent read that I highly recommend to all who like this genre.
