  • romantic and sizzling hot

Who knew that falling for a modern day pirate will be so hopelessly romantic and sizzling hot experience? Amelia Wilde sure made it feel like extremely delicious, dirty and destructive in A Deal with the Devil. Ashley, the billionaire hairess has been kidnapped by Poseidon who is no less than a god in pirate world. The first book was all pleasure and pain. And we left them at a dramatic turn. Trident was under attack and Poseidon has hurt Ashley beyond redemption. This story is all about how the devil breaks for love and sacrifices everything. And how even that is not probably enough. A Deal With The Devil by Amelia Wilde was an overload for my heart. The intense emotions. The nail biting suspense. The glorious passion. It was everything magnificent. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

  • Can’t get enough of Poseidon! 😍

This picks up where The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea ended off and that’s right smack dab in the middle of danger. Well, after a little insight into younger Poseidon first. This book gripped me straight on. Could not put it down because there was never a moment when there wasn’t something going on, taking your breath away, wrenching your heart, or making you sit on the edge of your seat. Ashley, let me tell you, she has been through a lot, but she’s got a fierceness in her that can handle a man like Poseidon. And him, well, he just owns me 😍. I loved this book for all the reasons I said and a bunch I won’t because you need to find those out on your own. I NEED the next book, though I’m sad it will be the last, but holy cannoli, I NEED IT!!!

  • Poseidon, Amphitrite and the troubled sea

Some books paint vivid pictures and some paint sensations with words. The Devil trilogy is from the later category for me. As with the first book, this sequel to this Poseidon and Amphitrite retelling was an emersion in the troubled waters of the ocean. Amelia Wilde uses a lot of sea metaphors to express how her characters feel. The sea is ever present and so evocative. This second book is more about Poseidon, the deeply broken anti-hero. We get glimpses of his horrific past with his foster dad, Chronos. We witness his trauma, understand what drives him, witness him grow as a person, find love and finally let himself believe in it. Ashley goes through some trauma of her own. She is no longer as weak as in the first book but I didn't witness a lot of real character growth either. However, the story twists bring new challenges for her. The book ends in a big cliffhanger, showing just how much Poseidon has changed since the beginning of the story. Looking forward to the finale of this trilogy.

  • Getting hotter

I absolutely love Poseidon. I was so mad at what he did to Ashley in the first book. I wanted to beat him, but he has started to redeem himself. This series is so dang good and gets better with each book. There is action, deception, choices, twists that tore me apart and some hot as heck scenes. Amelia keeps outdoing herself with each book she writes. She has ensnared me with these Gods. In this book Ashley grew as a person. She was the spoiled little rich girl. Poseidon also grew, he started opening up to Ashley. His walls started to crumble and he realized he would do anything and everything to keep Ashley, even giving her back to her father. The ending totally stopped my heart. That is all I’m going to say on that. There are some flashbacks that show more of what Poseidon was dealt from Cronos. My heart just broke all over again seeing what they all dealt with, except Demeter, the lying, heartless b****. It was great seeing how Hades and Zeus are doing. I cannot wait to read Poseidon and Ashely’s story. I need to know what happens between them.
