  • A mystery through time

Destiny is a tricky thing and time travel does not necessarily loosen its grip. Can our hero escape his fate and our heroine find hers? This is book five of the series, but it is written as a standalone. You should have no problems starting here. This is a steampunk adventure story with time travel (and maybe a bit of romance as well). The story is well written and easy to read with a highly detailed setting that the author has utilized for several of her series. There are so many aspects of the world that it is always fun to explore a new one. The characters are also well developed, including the many secondary characters which makes the world seem real. The story features a complex plot that has lots of intrigue and action, as well as a bit of romance here and there. I love the inclusion of time travel in the story as it is another one of my favorite story elements. Overall, another highly enjoyable story and I look forward to exploring more of this world. Highly recommended. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.

  • Entertaining

Anne Renwick’s “A Ghost in Amber: A Steampunk Romance” (An Elemental Steampunk Tale Book 5) This is my first steampunk genre and I have to admit I enjoyed the story. Lady Diana Starr and Lord Leo Wraxall have so much in common and hit off from the get go. This is a sweet, sexy romance with a bit of mystery.
