  • LOVE THIS SERIES!

Sun Vicram is sherif in her hometown of Del Sol, New Mexico. She left after she had been abducted and went to college before settling in Santa Fe with her daughter. Between the memory loss from the trauma and some small memories that seep through at times, she wants to find who saved her all those years ago. With a man stabbed outside the bar owned by the one man she has ever loved, Sun finds her team seeking the men who did it. As they get more information, they get more clues and some things that add more fuel to different fires, but yet all stem from the same case. Sun is seeking justice for the injured man, for her abduction, and for ghosts from her past…even if she can’t remember it all. I just discovered the second book in this series and devoured it before reading the first. OH. MY. GOD. This author must be my long lost twin and we were separated at birth, because she has my sense of humor and engages the same way I do with my daughter. My favorite part? The sayings leading into each new chapter…most of them had me laughing out loud. DO NOT MISSS THIS SERIES!

  • Love this quirky, fun cast of characters!

I love absolutely every quirky, fun, and bizarre character in Del Sol. This is the type of place I wish I had grown up in. Seeing as that opportunity is long past, and it being fictional making it an impossibility to begin with, I’m enjoying the heck out of meeting the current residents of the town, namely those that are in Sheriff Vicram’s orbit. Sun continues to win me over in every way. Her wacky sense of humor is a perfect fit for me. It’s fun and light hearted without being stupid or immature and never at the cost of another person’s feelings. She is by far one of the greatest heroines of all time. Wish I had her as a role model for parenting back in the day when I needed someone to lead me. Lol. The romance takes a backseat, but anytime Levi is in the scene, things absolutely sizzle with excitement and expectation. I find myself drooling each time they have any quality time together as it’s pretty obvious they’ve got some serious heat going on between them. Add in the beautiful relationship between Auri and Cruz and the fact that this is relatively light on romance suddenly doesn’t feel like it’s lacking anything. While this has a woozy of a cliffhanger, it actually wraps up a few mysteries. Each one is just as thrilling and satisfying as any of the others. However, we are still left with so many questions regarding details of Sun’s abduction when she was younger. I’m anxious to learn it all even as I’m fascinated by each new thing that’s revealed.

  • More please!

I absolutely can NOT wait for the next book in the series! I adore the characters in these books. They are hilarious yet I cry along with them when things go wrong. They feel like real people that I know & that I’m right there in their lives with them. Darynda Jones is such an amazing writer. I have loved everything she’s written that I’ve got my hands on. This book had so many moments that we’ve been waiting for since the first book & it was extremely satisfying.

  • Definite addition to your TBR list

Second in this new series and there is so much happening in this story, I found myself slowing down to grab all the nuances, much is buried among the humor and snark. Enjoyed this book, the Sunshine family and interactions are making me anticipate the next installment. A definite add to your TBR list.

  • Great Read

Ah, that moment you realize you have read too fast and are now anxiously awaiting the next in the series. Yup, I am there! The second in this series is laugh-out-loud hilarious. Add in suspense and a side of romance, this is your book. A Good Day for Chardonnay has a great storyline and characters that become familiar, and feel like family; all of this makes for a phenomenal read.
