Rich with history and literary love.

Thad loves books as much as I did, but what draws me in is the history unfolding in the background as this book begins in the 1970's. Some readers may have lived through those times, but I'm a child of the 80's and a staunch lover of history—all of it. I love the humor and Thad's constant imitation of British culture. His love for literature and the fights with his father over baseball and cricket were a beautiful touch, but I really enjoy the realism presented in both the narrative and the dialogue. A Groovy Kind of Love can be read as a standalone. I haven't read the previous books, but had zero issues with following the story. The description was never too much, perfect really, to root the reader. Great use of active voice and setting and overall stellar writing. *I received a copy in exchange for my review.

    Far Out Read!

I loved this last book in the bibliophiles series. The biggest issue I had with the book is that it is the last in this particular series and I am not ready for it to end. As in the first two books, A Groovy Kind of Love had me from the very start and kept me through to the end. I love the way the author draws me in and gets me involved with the characters. It's as if I not only know them but am quite glad that I do. This is an easy read but not because it consists of simple writing. It's an easy read because of the natural flow of the story and the aforementioned involvement with the characters.

There are many kinds of love...

There are many kinds of love, as we are reminded in A Groovy Kind of Love. From the first chapter, where our hero Thaddeus recalls his oldest memory, to the final ones, where he demonstrates his unwavering love for Spring Pearson, this book chronicles the many ways that we all give and receive love. Even when our hearts feel like breaking from the weight of the world’s sorrows, love in its various forms lifts us up and carries us forward, whether via acts of kindness, shared experiences with friends or traditional romantic love. Above all, this story reminds us that love is everywhere, and impacts everything we do and feel. We are changed by love and our love has the power to change others. Sometimes it reveals itself when least expected, for which we need to be grateful.

    Prepare for an emotional ride!

OMG...This whole series was great, but this book...just wow. The back story, the drama, all the little twists and turns! It was a slow read for me, but so worth it. I'm so tired...I read the second half of book one, book two, and book three all in a few days. The last 24 hours, I caught a couple hours of sleep here and a power nap there cuz I wanted to finish book three in time but I didn't want to skip book two, lol. So worth the lack of sleep though, these books are so good! Go buy them now, the bibliophiles are great characters and you will fall in love with them, just as I have. Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster though. I laughed, I cried, I about threw my Kindle at one point. Just a really awesome read!
