    Could Not Put It Down!!

I thought the last book was a 90 mile an hour thrill ride. Well, this book is the world’s tallest roller coaster, the kind with corkscrews and dark tunnels and areas that pitch you upside down… on an endless loop. It's a ride you can't get off of, and believe me, you won't want to. This book grabs you on page one and just never lets go. I personally was hooked after the first few words, and I remained riveted to the very last page. These characters are so real and raw and so unapologetically imperfect that you just can't help but relate to them. I found the characters of Drew and Lindsay to be especially inspirational, the way they persevered in the wake of such cruelty and degradation. This book is about many things… narcissism and political aspirations and family dynamics and cruelty and guilt and forgiveness and metamorphosis, but at its core, this book is about love and hope. This is the kind of book you just can't put down. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet and suspenseful read. *I was given an ARC of this book by the author and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own.

Addictive. Could not put it down!

Be sure to read A Harmless Little Game and A Harmless Little Ruse before reading this review. What a finale to the Harmless trilogy! I could not put it down and read it in less than 3 hours! The story continues from the dramatic ending to A Harmless Little Ruse, where Lindsay was taken by someone pretending to be Mark Paulson (Drew's friend) and Drew is in custody for stalking Lindsay. The story was intense from the start. Lindsay kidnapped again by those three fiends. Drew in turmoil over who he can trust and racing against the clock as he realizes what they plan to do. Drew's plan is brilliant. I was captivated from start to finish, and experiencd many emotions while reading. The hatred towards Lindsay's mother grew! My god that woman! Grrr. I felt anguish for all the victims of the game and needed the villains to suffer! I thought that the way the story unfolded was great, how we learned more about who was in control, making the demands and why. Oh, and the incident with the knife - talk about karma. The way that Lindsay was portrayed after it was all over was believable and I really felt for her. Her emotions shot and needing to be far away in her mind to protect herself. Her parents annoyed me so much! I wanted to hit them! But I loved Drew for his supportive and understanding nature and how he didn't give up on her. I really enjoyed this trilogy. I would have liked vengeance on her so called 'friends' who lied to the media/police 4 years earlier! I was thrilled that the story ended with the beginning of Drew and Lindsay's future together. Though I am saddened that there is no more Drew and Lindsay 3.

    Loved it!

Great ending to this trilogy! Lots of suspense and note-worthy sentences. There were parts where the description was so fantastic that I had a difficult time reading it. It made visualizing what was happening that clear. Love this author and I highly recommmend her to young adults and all us regular adults also!

Really enjoyed this last book of the series. Loved the way the chracyers healed with each other and managed to outsmart the parents to find their happy ending.
