  • So good.

You will meet Romney Applewood first and what happened was just horrible and this event changes him in so many ways. In chapter one, you will meet Molly a young woman who is studying medicine under Dr. West. Now the doctor has one idea but Molly does not share that idea. This is not a quick read but one full of twists and turns that are not expected. It is a very good book full of drama, high emotion, and very well-written. I highly recommend this book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

  • A truly wonderful historical romance!

Doctor Molly Hilliard wants to be more than a healer, so she heads west to the Northwest Territory for an adventure of a lifetime. She’s determined to set up her own medical practice and be a doctor to those in need of care. Along the way, she attempts to hire Romney Applewood to be her guide but he’s running the other way. She senses he’s on the run from his past, but fate keeps throwing them together. Can her healing touch heal the wounds of his tormented past? Can he find peace with Molly as they forge a brand new future on America’s frontier? A Healing Touch is a historical romance set on the American frontier. From the first page to the last, there’s a realistic vibe to the story which I appreciated. The descriptive narration portrays what Molly experiences without romanticizing it. Every facet is historically accurate including clothing, speech, frontier life, dreams, fears, and survival. The character, Molly, intrigued me from the start and I enjoyed her growth throughout the story. She reminded me of another female doctor name Quinn. The inner conflict Romney faced added depth to A Healing Touch. When romance blooms between Molly and Romney, I rooted for their happily ever after. If you’re a fan of historical female trailblazers, you’ll want to read A Healing Touch. If you’re looking for an authentic depiction of post-revolutionary America, you’ll enjoy A Healing Touch. Historical romance readers will fall in love with A Healing Touch. Highly recommend! Disclaimer: I received a copy from the author in the hopes I'd review it. My Rating: 5 stars
