    Clean Story

I just love books like this--- and will be looking for more by the same author. Good, clean story, with so many emotions.

    A House Divided

A House Divided was a great mix of suspense and romance. I had trouble putting it down. I would definitely recommend it.

    Pleasant Read

I enjoyed this book about hurting people who are trying to do the right things. I thought the characters were very likable (with a few quirky ones) and their growth in the book was realistic. The writing was pleasant to read.

    Highly Recommended!

When Rebecca returns to her home town in Oregon after the tragic death of her husband, she has lost not only her life partner but also her faith. When she meets her landlord who rents her the house where she not only made a movie but met and married her husband, she discovers he wants to tear down the house that means so much to her. Mark, the landlord, is on a mission to build a halfway house, but he is hurting from the pain of a broken engagement and does not want a serious relationship. Rebecca and Mark do find themselves attracted to each other, however, and struggle with their conflicting feelings. Sydell Voeller's descriptions of characters and setting bring the story to life and leave a lasting impression. A twist in the plot comes as a real surprise, but fits the story. Highly recommended!
