  • A Great Read

This is a wonderful story. It has all of the beauty, excitement and culture from 1322 Scotland and England. There are sword fights, celebrations, clans and love. It features Deirdre MacCoinneach and Alasdair Montgomerie’ oldest child Domhnall Montgomerie and a fortune-teller named Rosalie Threston. Domhnall has the gift of visions but has denied them for nearly 10 years by not touching anyone. He meets Rosalie, aka Rose, in her shop in Edinburgh and she “reads” him without touching him and makes an impression. She is on the run from an angry customer, a Lady, and she and her uncle end up in the town around Domhnall’s family’s castle. He is one of the Watch and sees her at the local market at her stall and gets jobs for her and her uncle at the castle. He feels at peace when he touches her and the voices and visions stop. He is enthralled with Rose but she is being hunted by an English Lady intent on murder. Can these two survive and find their HEA? If you haven’t read A Hundred Breaths and A Hundred Kisses you need to read them. They are stories about Domhnall’s grandparents and parents.

  • A book that you just can’t put down!

This book is the last book of a three book series. That being said, it’s also a great stand alone book! I love historical romance! The history itself being real as Grant has put in her research time. The description of the setting of 1322 Scotland and England will have you longing to visit! This book has lots of action and mystery as well as romance. It’s so easy to get caught up in the story and before you know it hours of reading have passed. It features Rosalie who was raised by her Aunt and Uncle and Domnhall Montgomerie who is the son of Alastair and Deirde. There are lots of twists and turns. It will keep you guessing until the end. Be sure to check out the other 2 books in this series - A Hundred Breaths and A Hundred Kisses. Grant includes a glossary and map in the extras section on her website at www.jeanmgrant.com

  • Love, Magic & Scotland!

With this, the final book in a wonderful trilogy, Jean Grant delighted me with a lovely story, characters that I cared about and rooted for, and as always, well-researched descriptions of and references to medieval Scotland life. I love a touch of magic and this author doesn’t disappoint! Each of these books can be read as stand-alones, but I enjoyed reading them in the order in which they were intended. All of these stories highlight special magical abilities of certain characters. “Lies” offers a particularly unique and interesting ability in our hero, one that I have not encountered before. Fun, delicious read!

  • 4-4.5 Stars!!

4-4.5 Stars!! I REALLY enjoyed this book. This is the first time I’ve had the pleasure of reading anything by Jean M.Grant. This book is the 3rd in the series but can be read as a standalone. I pretty much guessed who the ‘bad guy’ was really early on. However, I still loved this book & was even surprised a few times. Interesting story. I have a few questions still about everyone in the book, even after the epilogue. Hopefully the author continues with the rest of the family members & distant relatives stories! I’d definitely recommend this book, especially if you’re into paranormal romance and mystery!! *I received this book at no charge from the publisher and I voluntarily left a review.*

  • Loved it!

Beautiful cover. Beautiful story. Beautiful characters. I loved everything about this book. The plot was intriguing, filled with mystery, romance, and danger. The characters had great chemistry. I loved how slow they took their relationship in the beginning. As a reader, I got to experience the flutters of the first meeting, of developing feelings, and more as the romance progressed in the story. The author does an amazing job at stradling genres. Her women’s fiction book was incredible, and I’m wowed by this new paranormal romance novel. Definitely recommend! I look forward to reading the other books in this series.
