I really enjoyed reading about Amelia and Driscoll. Amelia on the run from her evil step-brother literally plops right into Driscoll's life. Despite Amelia's anonymity, she is still her sweet self and gets to know Driscoll. Although she does not trust any man Driscoll tempts her to divulge her secrets. Driscoll is a second son and a gentleman all the way. He surmised immediately that Amelia was a gently bred lady but she would not confirm it. For some reason he felt protective of her and chose to give her food, shelter and clothing. Also gave her a job. They became very close to the point that her name did not matter to Driscoll. She was a quality woman, kind and thoughtful, hardworking, friendly and got along well with others. He wanted to court her. But he could do nothing until he knew who she really was. In the meantime, her step-brother and his crony found her and kidnapped her. While separated from Driscoll she realized she loved him and regretted not telling him the truth so he could come save her. At the same time, Driscoll was losing money from his establishment and the trail led to Amelia. He refused to believe it. But his brother Dante kept pushing him to confront her. He refused because he knew deep in his heart she was not capable of stealing. An exciting action-adventure romance. An excellent read. I do recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Entertaining Romantic Wonderful characters

  • Quiet men can find love too

This is the second in Callie Hutton’s latest series the Rose Room Rogues, which centers around three brothers, their club and the secret work they do for the crown. Our hero is the middle of the brothers, Driscoll the bookkeeper of the club who likes order and calm that is until or heroine, Amelia quite literally falls at his feet. Escaping her brother’s nefarious plan throws her into Driscoll life, upending it at the same time. She has secrets she’s not willing to share, he is drawn to her and wants to help her anyway he can. Dark plots and drama, ensue but ultimately good wins out and secrets are revealed. They find love and the happy ever after both are deserving of. Another great read from Callie, although I received an advance reader copy I would recommend this book to lovers of regency romance. This is a excellent series to introduce you to the genre.

  • Trust Is Not Easy.

Amelia is on the run from her step-brother who, instead of giving her the season she was promised, plans to use her to pay off his debt to a rather unsavory character. Nice brother, huh? Driscoll Rose is busy and bored. An assignment for the crown is looking good right now. Then Amelia falls through his window. Life just got less boring. All he needs to do now is find out who this lovely lady is, and what to do with her. He decides to hire her, as a dealer. Amelia, alone and scared, won’t make it easy. She does accept the job offer. Will her brother find her? Will she learn to trust Driscoll to protect her? Driscoll and Amelia’s story is a complex, clever story, and in the middle of all the drama and mystery, they begin to like each other. A lot happens between falling in the window and falling in love. There is a theft at the club, a ball for the members, a kidnapping, and a rescue. Hopefully, all of this will show Amelia that Driscoll Rose is worthy of A Lady’s Trust. Good story. Happy Reading!

  • Outstanding Historical Romance

A Lady's Trust is a spectacular historical romance by Callie Hutton. Ms. Hutton has once again impressed me with her wonderful storytelling abilities. She has delivered a well-written book furnished with an outstanding cast of characters. Driscoll and his brothers run an illegal gaming club but he's suddenly having a hard time concentrating on his work. Amelia thought she was climbing through the window of an empty room while escaping her step-brother. The brothers hired her to be a dealer, wearing a mask to protect her identity. Amelia and Driscoll's story is loaded with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I loved this story and look forward to my next book by Callie Hutton. A Lady's Trust is book 2 of The Rose Room Rogues but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Intrigue and Romance

This is the second book of The Rose Room Rogues series. I have not read the first book of the series, but after reading this, I will definitely be going back to see what I missed! The series is centered around Driscoll and his two brothers who secretly work for the Crown and run a gaming club called The Rose Room. This book pulled me in from the very first page and had me captivated till the end. Of the three brothers, Driscoll is the more orderly one who prefers quiet and calm. Lady Amelia is running from her stepbrother and the horrible fate he has planned for her. While on the run, she ends up at The Rose Room and Driscoll is intrigued by her. He has no doubt she is in some kind of trouble and he offers her a job in the club. Amelia has difficulty with trust, especially when it's a man, so she gives him a false name and hides her true identity. Driscoll must earn her trust and inevitably, their relationship begins to grow and they become very close. However, misconceptions and misunderstandings along with despicable villains could very well get in the way of their HEA. I found this story very intriguing and entertaining and enjoyed reading Amelia and Driscoll's story. An excellent read filled with action, adventure and romance and not to mention amazing characters. I believe Dante is next in line and I can't wait to read his story! I received a complimentary copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review.
