    Cozy Christmas Read

Ailsa is stuck working a wedding on Christmas Day at Carrick Park. Ailsa loves home turned hotel and wonders what Christmas would have been like for a Christmas past. Little does she know that is she is about to meet the love of her life who might be able to make that a reality and more. I enjoyed this novel very much – it had romance, mystery, and a bit of mystical in it. I was provided a free advance copy of this book in return for an honest review. I enjoyed this book and look forward to others by this author.

Be careful what you wish for!

Be careful what you wish for ... What a fabulous read. It's shorter than your usual novel, but doesn't miss a thing. I had no idea about Ned when I started reading this. At first I couldn't figure out what happened but then I was absorbed and picturing a stately home/hotel like Carrick Park, in the snow, in the middle of winter and I felt like I was there too. I could visualise the pond and the ice skating, I could feel the snowflake kisses, I could see the Angel on the water fountain and could picture each and every one of these truly adorable characters. As a wedding coordinator, Ailsa is always working with happy couples and making sure their day is the best for their journey of happy ever after, but when a couple book their day for Christmas Day, she finds herself staying the night before. Making sure everything is locked up as it should, she enters the dining room to find somewhere comfy to run through her list of things to do in the morning. Little does she know Ned is there. They strike up a conversation, well, why wouldn't you!?! and he offers her some mulled wine. Now, she's read everything there is to know about this beautiful hall - even to the part where they used to use pokers to stir the mulled wine in the glass.... apparently it is a taste similar to ash ... who'd have thought ! She finds herself opening up to Ned and sharing her wishes about Lady Eleanor (Ella) and Adam. After a fun time talking she excuses herself and goes up to her room for the night. She starts reading her favourite biography on Carrick Park but falls asleep and is suddenly awoken at the chimes of midnight. Feeling a little strange and no longer in bed, it is clearly a different era and she is married ....!! This is where I am leaving my review as the magic starts from here. Hope you enjoy! #weddings #romance #tears #laughter #stately home #angels #wishes #bitesizereading #dreams #Christmas #choclit#ebook #amazonkindle #kobo #goodreads #googleplaybooks Get cosy with some Mulled wine & mince pies

    Delightful Christmas tale

A lovely Christmas tale which hits all the right buttons. A Romance with a truly Christmas feel good factor. Would have been delighted to receive this in my stocking. As a shortish story ideal for spare moments during the Christmas seasons to restore the smile to your face!

    A Little Christmas Cracker

Another most enjoyable read from Kirsty – she weaves her own magic! This is a very pleasant short, which I read in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down. Ailsa is an event co-ordinator at Carrick Park Hotel on the North Yorkshire Moors, and this year has to arrange a wedding on Christmas Day. Everything is going swimmingly; on Christmas Eve when she has finished her work, she goes into the drawing room just for a final look round where the function is to be held. Here she meets Ned – who seems familiar, but she can’t just place him. They talk about the history of Carrick Park, and the story moves on. It is in Kirsty’s favoured time slip style, but a move on from her Pre-Raphaelite series. I look forward to reading her next production with impatience.
