  • Kane and Mari are perfect together!

First of all, I love stories where the boy-next-door finds his inner bad boy. In this latest addition to the Wilder Adventures series, ever-dependable Kane decides to step out of his comfort zone for a torrid ONS - an hour, really - with a stranger in Las Vegas. Months later, it turns out that his brother found her when was looking for someone to renovate their RVs for the Wilder Resort. When Mari realized the long-term repercussions of her trip to Vegas, she tried to find the man who rocked her world, never realizing that his brother would find her. Now she's stuck in Rush Creek, doing a job for the family that is showing her everything she never had with her own limiting childhood with her vagabond mother. She's understandably torn between wanting that kind of family for her child and wondering just how much her style of parenting will be like her mother's. I really loved the conflict between these two, and how they used honest, open communication to work through not just their feelings about impending parenthood but their lives in general and their goals for the future. Kane's personal growth was a long time coming, and it was magical to watch him grow into the man he always wanted to be. Their HEA was very satisfying, and I loved the teasing intro to the next book. And I learned a new word - one that describes Easton perfectly, though I wonder how long he'll be able to hang on to the title. As a side bonus, I vicariously enjoyed the road trip and used Google Images to join Kane and Mari at the various stops along the way. Wilder Adventures is one of my favorite series for contemporary romances, and this book is every bit as good as the earlier ones. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

  • A delicious dream of a read

AH. MAY. ZING. Serena Bell’s A LITTLE WILDER is a beautiful, fantastic, delicious dream of a read. I KNEW this would happen—that I couldn’t take just a peek at Kane and Mari… and holy wow. I’m in seventh heaven. Kane is soooooo utterly delicious. I cannot fathom how women were not falling all over themselves to nail this man down?! Gah! And Mari is a splendidly independent and talented woman, who honestly hasn’t ever felt like she needed anyone…. Until she and Kane have a one-night-in-Vegas experience… I love how Ms Bell gently draws these two together even as they’re trying their best to resist this massive conflagration of attraction and desire. And as with every single other of her books, I’m nearly incoherent with my pleasure in this couple! One of the things I love SO much about Serena Bell’s writing—I cackle my head off with glee as I’m also going down in flames and my heart and ovaries explode with joy. Yes, it’s this good. Ms Bell’s books show what love is all about—being seen and known and loved because of it. And the warm support that can come from family and found family. And yes, I slurped up that sneak peek of Kane’s brother’s book promptly and am now in a Wilder coma… cannot wait for more. But in the meantime, rereads!!

  • Fantastic Romantic Comedy

I love all of Serena Bell’s stories about the Wilder siblings, but I found this one to be especially engaging. It is a well written wholesome contemporary romance spiced up with humor from the get go. Both Kane and Mari are forced to do some soul searching to figure out just what direction they want to take in life. Add a bit of Wilder Family drama and it is one great read. Looking forward to the next installment in the series about Easton, the youngest Wilder brother. I received an ARC of this book from the author in return for voluntarily writing an honest review.

  • Fantastic Read

Kane and Mari’s unexpected and surprise pregnancy in A Little Wilder by Serena Bell, book four in her Wilder Adventures series, is a wonderful, heartwarming romance about finding yourself and having the courage to admit your fears and realize that the path to happiness leads out of your comfort zone. I picked up this book, planning to read for a short while, instead I spent the day falling in love with Mari and Clark and their story. Marigold Barrymore is seven months pregnant as the result of a one night stand in Vegas with a guy Mari can’t get out of her head. Mari is an interior designer for airstream trailers and travels from job to job. Her latest job brings her to design six trailers for a glamping experience in Oregon. Much to her surprise she was hired by the brother of her baby’s dad. Kane Wilder is a good guy. He’s always been the peace maker in the family or thought of as the boy next door. After a wild night in Vegas with a woman who resembled a fairy, Kane’s not sure that’s who he really is. He’s finally come to terms with the fact that he won’t see her again. Imagine his surprise when he discovers the woman he’s been dreaming about is suddenly before him. Kane might be surprised but he is thrilled to see Mari again, even with her being pregnant. From the start, Kane and Mari are perfect for each other, bringing out the best within each other. Neither attempted to influence the other to change their ways and become someone they weren’t. Kane was never going to tame Mari, nor did he want to clip her wings. Mari saw the real Kane, the artist, the photographer, the caretaker and encouraged him to show the world his talents. Kane and Mari helped each other learn how to compromise and gain the courage to chase after and fight for their dreams and passions. One thing about the Wilder family, they are supportive of each other, welcoming of additions to their family and care about each other; surrounding each member with love. Ms. Bell once again wrote a wonderful, emotional, and heartwarming story that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, strong magnetism, family dynamics, clever banter, the magic of love, and endearing characters giving Kane and Mari a chance at love, happiness, a loving family and a future together neither expected. I highly recommend A Little Wilder to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
