    Terrific characters

family-dynamics, friendship, murder, murder-investigation, amateur-sleuth, women-sleuths, cozy-mystery A cohesive group of friends, a capable new activist teacher, missing oddments from various local businesses, a tweenager with her elderly grandmother, too many secrets and lies, and a murder. Although this is part of a series, there's no sense of missing something other than whodunit. Much misdirection and red herrings add to the suspense, and the characters are so engaging that you feel that you know them. Loved it! I requested and received a free ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

    It takes a village…to solve a murder

A new business has opened in Sea Harbor and the owner wants to close Gracie down and expand. When the man is found murdered, not only is Gracie a suspect, but so are many others, including Tess Bean, a newer resident and part time teacher at the school. But the ladies don’t believe Gracie or Tess are guilty and begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together. As they go along they realize some members of their community aren’t who they thought they were, and others are struggling with issues of their own. But the community takes care of its own and there is a whole lot of love and care that the townsfolk have as they try to help in anyway they can. But will all the pieces come together for Izzy and the gang and will they uncover the evidence they need to take it to the police before the murderer strikes again. A charming and quaint setting with a group of women that have come to feel like friends. Well developed characters and a solid story line with enough red herrings to keep you guessing who the murderer really is until the very end.

    Coastal New England Cozy Mystery

This is a very good cozy mystery. Set in a small coastal New England town, the story centers around a group of knitters. The plot is excellent. The reader becomes fully invested in the characters. There are many suspects and the reader wants none of them to be guilty. I always enjoy this author's books. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.
