  • So happy for Sierra's story!

I am so glad to see Sierra's story! She was a bit misunderstood in the first book in this new series but I could so empathize with her! This is Adrian and Sierra's story. Sierra wins a contest for a date with Prince Adrian and when they meet, well....the prince doesn't make a great first impression! Sierra is such a complex character, I admired how honest Piper and Rayne were with her feelings and emotions, both towards Adrian and with her friends.  I could empathize with her childhood, as a veteran and a military wife, my heart broke for her. Sierra is so strong, almost too strong, she has walls built so high around her that nobody can really see her true self.  Until Adrian... Adrian, well he was princely in all the ways.  Sometimes headstrong and aloof, sometimes oblivious to what is going on around him, but boy when he loves, he loves hard and he knows just what Sierra needs. I love this crew! This rooftop crew! The dynamic of this group of friends is fantastic and I cannot wait for the next story from them!

  • Prince & Commoner Romance

I must admit, I didn't think that Sierra could be fully redeemed for me after what happened in the first book of this series. I didn't know whether I liked her or disliked her. But by the end of this book I was on Team Sierra! Once again, Piper Rayne have given me a book I completely fell for." - Samantha, I Love HEA Romance Book Blog

  • Some mistakes are worth making!!!

A Royal Mistake is the second in the ‘Rooftop Crew’ series. It follows Sierra Banders(Blanca’s best friend from My Bestie’s Ex, book 1 in the series., and Sierra’s crush, Prince Adrian Marx. Yes, he’s a real-life prince, no pretend Charming here. Sierra is a small-town journalist and has entered a competition to win a date with Adrian. She never in the world expected to win. Except she does. What follows is a whirlwind of a romance filled with heat, sexy banter and some serious past issues getting in the way. Sierra has a hard time showing her soft, vulnerable side and this makes her seem indifferent to what’s happening around her sometimes. She’s anything, but, though and hides her emotions deep inside. It’s only Adrian who sees through this and pulls the feeling out. Adrian might be a prince, but he’s having a hard time too. His family is in crisis and they want him to step up. Only that’s not what he wants and when he meets Sierra and spends some time with her, he realizes he wants the royal strings even less than he thought. Sierra came off as a hard character to like, never mind love, in book one. But, Piper Ryane has done an excellent job of changing that view. I truly do love Sierra now, and who can resist a gorgeous, fit real-life prince. Not this girl!! Also, there’s plenty of fun and interaction with all the characters from the previous book. We get a snapshot of their lives moving on (especially Blanca and Ethan- let’s just say Mama Bianco will be happy). Grab your copy and join in the fun with the ‘Rooftop Crew’.

  • Loved it

I had a hard time liking or relating to Sierra in the first book in the series, My Bestie's Ex, but it’s a Piper Rayne novel so I knew if anyone could change my opinion, they would. This is Sierra and Prince Adrian Marx’s story. Whenever I see the name Piper Rayne, I know I am in for an entertaining read and A Royal Mistake was no exception. From the first to the last chapter, I was riveted to the roller coaster story that the authors wove. As expected there was a lot more to Sierra than I initially thought. She is a reporter for the local television station and is infatuated by the Sandsal royal family, in particular Prince Adrian Marx. Winning a date with Prince Adrian, she is beyond excited. Sierra has had to overcome a great deal and I admired her focus and determination. Adrian is not in a hurry to ascend the throne and yet it appears that is exactly what is about to happen. After a rocky start they both find that they enjoy each others company, despite the fact that Adrian is keeping some rather big secrets. I will say that Piper Rayne managed to change my opinion of Sierra, perhaps it was the pairing with Adrian, they certainly were made for one another. What will happen when the secrets are exposed? Can Adrian and Sierra’s blossoming relationship survive or is it doomed to fail? There were plenty of fun, laugh out loud moments, although having said that there were some emotional parts as well. It was also great to see the other members of The Rooftop Crew make an appearance and I am excited to see whose story is next.

  • Amazing!

I was so excited about this book when Piper Rayne rolled out the blurb for it. The wait was worth it as I absolutely loved it! Sierra is a reporter for the local television station and she's also really interested in the royal family from Sandsal. So much so that she knows just about everything that has ever been printed about Prince Adrian Marx. When the opportunity to win a date with him comes up, she take it and when she actually wins, she's excited to meet him and have dinner with him. Prince Adrian isn't thrilled with the future that is laid out before him. He's the current heir to the throne in Sandsal and it's not a position that he's ever wanted to hold. Because of circumstances that are currently happening within his family, he may be forced to take the throne sooner than anticipated. He would much prefer jetsetting around the world enjoying himself rather than taking his lot in life seriously. When Sierra and Adrian meet for the first time, things don't go as she expected at the beginning. As the night wears on though, the two find that they enjoy one another's company. When Adrian decides he's going to stay in the US for two months, Sierra suddenly finds herself welcoming him as her new roommate! Will the relationship between Sierra and Adrian flourish or will a piece of information he's omitted end up tanking their relationship before it really begins? I adored this story and both Sierra and Adrian. I loved how they brought comfort to one another after both had been through tough times and also how they were able to trust one another when trust has never come easy to them. I truly couldn't put this book down and it turned into me reading it in one sitting, which very rarely happens. Kudos to Piper Rayne for another amazing book! **I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
