    Thanks for your feedback!

The tale lives on in the diaries who lived.

This was a true tale of the Civil War a man who answered the call by Lincoln, a wife that supports him and a family that works for the south cause. This was a powerfully written piece the epilogue was outstanding, but then the whole book is too. I do not want to say much about the story because I truly feel it will take away from the emotions as a reader you will feel when reading. I have high praise and I recommend this work of art. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

    Engrossing Civil War Family Drama

As an American, there is a soft spot in my heart for books that make the Civil War come alive through fictional characters. This is one such book. As is often depicted in these stories, part of the family is Union while another part supports the South. This brings a national event down to the personal level, which I love. There is so much going on here. What else can a bride do but support her husband, even when he wants to go off to war? We learned a lot about the women in this family, and I look forward to the next book telling us more about them. I was gifted this book but this is my honest opinion
