A magnificent masterpiece in story telling

With such a good book it’s difficult to know where to start. Written in a way that leaves the reader breathless as only a great book can. A magnificent masterpiece in story telling and highly recommended. Once started the reader will find it hard to put down. With a story that captures the imagination and brings to life characters in a down to earth way. One to tick off the bucket list and one for good book lovers every where.

    An Engaging Read

A Season at the Weaver’s Table by Fi MacVane is the story of Anna Libby, a divorced mother of three living in Maine and dealing with the many losses in her life. Her beloved brother died, her husband left her for another woman, and her sixteen year old daughter has chosen to move to Ireland to live with her father and his new wife. The characters are described and developed so that I genuinely cared about what happened to them. I unexpectedly shed a tear at one touching moment in the story. Peppered in the story are bits of social commentary which could leave you cheering or rolling your eyes, depending on your personal point of view. There is also an occasional British word used which must come from the author being an American who has lived in the UK for many years. There were a couple of British words I needed to look up to verify their meaning. The story flows smoothly and I enjoyed the descriptive nature of the writing. There were a couple of nights when I had planned to read one chapter before bed, but found myself staying up late because I didn’t want to put the book down. There are big changes happening in the life of Anna Libby!

A delightful tale of life and love

The author introduces each character with care and leads the reader through a journey from pain and loss to forgiveness and love.

A SEASON AT THE WEAVERS TABLE

I love this book. There’s a character in the story whose name you will recognize. The genre is my favorite with characters that are real people with thoughts and feelings and life experiences that the reader easily relates to. The story flows well with descriptive details a reader can see and feel and taste. I’m taking my time to absorb the author’s message and make similar connections to my own underdeveloped writing ability, movies, and my own life’s episodes. I await what F.M. has next...
