  • A constant heart is appeased

A gentle Regency romance, this well-written story pulls at the heartstrings as Constance and Digby reunite after two years and find that the old attraction is as strong as ever. I found it surprising that Constance was not wary of Digby after having being left behind, but it would seem that she understood that he had little choice in the matter and instead waited for him. Whilst Digby has every hope of rekindling their relationship, an opportunistic soldier is set on making Constance his wife and will use whatever means possible to make his voice heard. I enjoyed reading about the Frost Fair and found myself Googling it and the events around that era. Although a fairly short read, this novel is nevertheless delightful and comes to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

  • Sweet and Sweet 🍭

She's nailed it. She jumps into the story and cleverly brings in the back story as well as bringing us up to speil without dancing around and wasting precious word limit. The players are all in place and so is the story line. For a short novella, her characters are well developed. You really do.like Digby Osgood- what a name! Constance is extremely aware and likeable. Again, the author has cleverly used the Frost fair as the setting for the climax. Her mention of Edmund Keane's debut as Sbylock was interesting since I've only read him as an established actor that people had lined up to watch. Her sense of humour is evident when she makes Samuel Clemens the notorious editor to the gossip paper. Its a wonderful, quick read and I completely enjoyed it. This was my first by this author and going by this book its definitely not the last. Recommended : 👍 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Regency second chance romance

I enjoyed this very short second chance Regency romance with great characters, romance and a little intrigue. He had left two years ago in business and told the woman he loved not to wait for him. Now, two years later, he comes back and found she hasn't married and still loves him. However, a Lieutenant in the Army is after her for her money and he doesn't want to give up. There were complications, but the ending was good. The story lacked depth and could have been better if it was longer and gave more depth. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • A Second Chance At Love, great story

Part of the A Frost Fair Regency Romance series a well written story with a very good storyline, I was not putting this book down until I was finished reading. Viscount Digby Osgood has been absent for two years and thinks Lady Constance Whittles has moved on but with a friend's encouragement he seeks her out. This is their second chance, but there is someone else who wants Constance for his own. I enjoyed seeing this story come together, and Sherry's blurb at the end was a nice touch.
