    Not for me

I found this book distressing, although not for the expected reasons given its themes. The story line was slow, stereotypic and extremely moralistic. The characters were unrealistic, wooden, and lacking in true complexity. It was emotionally cold. I could not finish the book although I did skip through to a couple of middle, then a couple of end chapters to see if there was any development to change my view. I would not recommend it.

    chilling and suspenseful...

This book blew me away. Shocking and frenetically paced, you will not foresee what is coming next... If you enjoy criminal minds, silence of the lambs or seven, do not hesitate...

    Yowza!

Holy cow! I was breathless through an awful lot of this book. It had me from page 1. By the time I hit chapter 5 I texted my sister and told her she HAD to get it. She did of course and is reading it as I write this review. This book had a lot of crazy a** violence, which I love, but also a good story line as well. I'm getting David's second book as soon as I press send on this. Amazing first book David. Well done!! Reminded me of Richard Laymon whom I love!

    A Thin Line

Not for the faint of heart. This is a dark story that grips you and holds you to the last page. It will challenge your thinking about right and wrong. It's probably a 5 stars story because it is so well written but I couldn't bring myself to do it because to say I loved it would be wrong for me. It's hard to believe it's an first novel by the author as it is well thought out and expressed a side of life that few admit to. The darkness that is in each of us and what can happen for those of us that are without a moral compass.
