5 "My Heart Almost Burst" Amazing Stars !!!

Kindly provided with an Advanced Review Copy by the author in exchange for an honest review..... Utterly Mesmorising !! 5 Heart Filled Stars xx A Thousand Boy Kisses I have literally had to wait a few days to gather my thoughts after reading A Thousand Boy Kisses, as the book left me completely overwhelmed.......in a good way. Want to here more ?......okay. This really book in my opinion one of Tillie's best books todate. I can only imagine how hard Tillie worked and what soul searching she had to undertake to give us the story of Rune and Poppy. Its no secret that Tillie has demonstrated time and time again her literary skills. Her ability to write such highly emotive story lines has long since been proven with the Sweet Home Series, The Hades Hangmen Series, Raze and Reap. This book for me transcends Tillie's other works todate......why ?. Well for one I thought I knew how the plot might develop. I mean come on, I can read a blurb and I had been attuned to the clues that this tale could be a tear jerker. Whatever I thought Tillie just blew me away. This story was so heartfelt, you could do nothing but sit back and become emerged with Rune and Poppy's journey. So what is this book about ? Well, its not just a book about childhood friends to lovers. Although, yes that is very much a solid basis for our two characters tale. The book for me was about commitment, pure love, complete devotion and belief. The book was written with a duel POV, and how I mentally thanked Tillie for that. Being able to "hear" the story from both Rune and Poppy's characters perspectives just enriched their tale. Pausing for a moment, I have to commend Tillie for as I would say "stepping out of what an author feels comfortable with". I am sure writing Rune and Poppy's tale to completion must of completely wrecked Tillie, as well as being a huge joy. But honest to god, their story for me could not have been written any other manner. This book was just beautiful Lets take our characters...... Rune.......he moves with his family to the US from Norway and they move next door to Poppy and her family. He's a million miles from home, lost and in very much need of a friend. Enter Poppy. God Poppy what a gorgeous, brave and full of life character. From reading their first encounter I just knew this would be a special, deep love story.......by gum it was !!!!. The last chapter before the epilogue.......*swallows* I felt as if I had a grapefruit lodged in my throat. I swear I had to take a moment.......it was one of the most gorgeous, but gut wrenching scenes I have ever read. Just when I thought, god I am completely wiped.....Tillie gives us one hell of a spectacular epilogue. completely making (for me) everything alright again in the world. At the end of this book I think I can safely say I had passed through a myriad of emotions........I felt excitement, intrigue, puzzlement, "warm and fuzzy", worried, heart broke, relieved and content.......yup, those about sum it all up !!! Sign of a god damn god author to drag those babies out !!! Okay, I am going to leave you with this quote from the story........ "This jar is for you to record your boy-kisses, Poppy. All the kisses that make your heart almost burst, the ones that are the most special, the ones you want to remember when your're old and gray. The ones that will make you smile when you remember them in your mind." ........A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole. If that doesn't make you melt !!!. Phenomenal work Tillie ! I am so pleased that you went the whole 9 yards and was brave enough to not shy away and you stayed true to write Rune and Poppy's tale in a manner that presented their unique and everlasting love. A MUST READ !!! Many thanks Tillie for this opportunity and a HUGE well done xxx
