    Pilot

A breathtakingly beautiful BBB narrative of all that is good and all what is not good about human conflict. I rate this book the best and most credible of those I have purchased to date.

    An excellent Bomber Command book

A thoroughly enjoyable informative and thought provoking book about the author's experiences whilst serving with the RCAF and Bomber Command. A good reminder of how much we owe those airmen and how much they gave so we could live as we do now.

    A Thousand Shall Fall

An excellent book. It is a cliche but if someone is only going to read one book about Bomber Command or Canadians in Bomber Command, this would be the one. Easy to read with a mix of personel recollections and historical facts.

    A Thousand Shall Fall

A Thousand Shall Fall is by far the best book written about life as a bomber command pilot during World War Two. Like many boys of the time, Murray Pedan dreamt of being a fighter pilot much like his childhood hero, Billy Bishop. With the outbreak of the Second World War, Pedan joined the RCAF with aspirations of soaring through the skies of Europe and shooting down marauding Nazi fighters. With the Battle of Britain all but over and the need to replenish bomber command pilots, which was hemorrhaging at an alarming rate, Pedan’s future in Fighter Command was bleak. Pedan’s story takes the reader through his epic journey of what life was like for young and eager Canadians enlisting to do their part in the greatest adventure of their generation. It is more than just log book entries and snippets from letters sent home. He takes you on a roller coaster of laughter, excitement, trepidation and sheer heartbreak. A Thousand Shall Fall is a book in which all Canadians and World War Two enthusiasts should read. Of highest recommendation: "I consider it not only the best and most true to life 'war' book I've ever read about this war, but the best about all the wars of my lifetime" -Marshal of the Royal Air Force, Sir Arthur Harris

    At last...

I now understand how my own father spent 1942-1945 during his Air Force training at Brandon, MB, then in England.
