Not sure if the concept needs its own series

Ok, so some people feel it might be weird to be with both brothers. At the same time? YES! After one dies and she hooks up with the other? No issues. As for the story, it was a decent enough read though I'm not sure if the time traveling aspect needed a whole new series. I feel it could have just been incorporated into the original Blood Rose series. I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from the author for voluntary review consideration.

    Blood Rose with a twist

A VAMPIRE SOFT EMBRACE, Book 1 -Blood Rose Time-Travel Series, Caris Roane This series continues the popular Blood Rose Series. You don't have to start with that series to enjoy this one. The novella is a perfect way to see if this series is something you like. The biggest things people like knowing is cliffhanger or not. There is a thread that will follow into the next book, but if you just feel like giving this one a try, it finishes. I enjoyed reading the story. Is there action, check? Is there enough to keep you interested, check? Is there hot love scenes, check and check. I appreciate that the love scenes in the story (like all of Ms. Roane's other stories) are well placed and have meaning to the storyline, while giving us some steamy moments. The characters are believable and seem real. You can empathize with our star crossed pair, and cheer for them to figure things out. Both are strong personalities. I look forward to seeing where we go from this novella.

The Nine Realms is a magical place...

Typically I avoid fae stories. I'm not sure why, but they rarely work for me. That being said, I have enjoyed every aspect of Caris Roane's Nine Realms, including her fae, or in this case half fae, characters. So many of the problems she gives her characters to face are relatable, whether it is survivors guilt, a fiancé feeling guilty because they didn't love their intended "enough", or a sibling regretting having kept their brother's secret, intending to protect someone now fearing instead they did harm... the problems, and dramas of these fae, vampires and their friends and neighbors, shifters and trolls alike draw me in and have me wanting the small hurdles these characters face to be conquered just as much as I want them to win any battle they enter. Devyn was a compelling leading man in large part because he is a genuinely good guy trying to do the right thing... and yet he seems to be suffering for it as he works through the events of this story and gains a new perspective, and maybe gets a little sense knocked into him. I was gifted with a copy of this story, and this is a voluntary review.

    Bunny Slippers to the Rescue

Fans of Roane's Blood Rose series will be thrilled to know that the realm continues with a time travel twist. Emily is fae/vampire with time time travel ability. Going back to the time when her fiance's brother won her heart triggers a chain of events that reveals her being a blood rose. Same amazing characters appear from the Blood Rose series along with the appearance of a new foe to the peace of the Realm. Cute little bunny slippers to the rescue. *A copy of this book was provided to me by author with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

    New enemies

Three and a half from me I readily admit that I enjoyed the authors Blood Rose stories particularly as the series progressed but when I saw the synopsis for this book I was a tad apprehensive . It's the idea you see of living with one brother whilst being crazy in love with his twin! I wasn't sure how it could be believable and not kind of creepy but rest assured the author does a very creditable job on what is actually a novella so definitely not a full length read. First I must say how surprised I was that the couple are actually fleshed out quite well. No we don't learn their life stories but we do get a pretty all encompassing look at their relationship so far and just why things are how they are. An added bonus is the fact that the author has reprised her idea of the departed helping the living which enabled me to better understand the status quo .Now add in her new idea of time travel and I think there is quite a lot of mileage left to be explored. I'm still a little unsure how the newer enemies of the Nine Realms will continue but will happily read the next book and hope that it's a full length one with lots going on . A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
