    Amazing

Amazing!! So glad Kyle finally found a little peace and happiness. I'm of huge fan of Ms. Novak's and the Whiskey Creek series, so I've been patiently waiting for Kyle's story. As others in their group have found love and happiness, Kyle has silently lamented his past mistakes and dealt with life one day at a time. Love and happiness just don't seem to be in the cards for him. That is until Lourdes Bennett blows into his life. She's only planning to be in Whiskey Creek for a short time while she writes some new songs that will get her career back on track. Whiskey Creek and Kyle seem to have a way of getting under your skin though and before she knows it Lourdes is questioning her decision to leave. As usual, this is a wonderfully written story full of twists and turns. These characters get in your heart so when they finally find happiness you can feel the joy! I definitely recommend this one.

    A Winter Wedding

Determined to be extra careful about any romantic entanglement, Kyle Houseman fights his attraction to the beautiful stranger who rents his farmhouse for the holiday in this terrific contemporary romance. The more Lourdes Bennett gets to know Kyle, the more she begins to wonder if getting her career back on top is the right thing to do and the reader can’t help but become enthralled in the story as these two unsuspecting people find a love they weren’t looking for. The chemistry and romance is sweet with a touch of fun as this couple gets to know each other while each deal with life’s trials, heartaches and emotional angst that the reader can certainly relate to. Strong, captivating characters grab your attention from the very beginning with their strong personalities while the steady to fast paced plot flows smoothly throughout the story with suspense, turmoil and romance. While Lourdes and Kyle’s romance has lots of anticipation building due to their situations, Kyle’s past is determined to keep him in her grasp which causes quite a bit of excitement, mayhem and turmoil between Kyle's family and friends as well. The intriguing relationship draws readers in with a fascinating romance that catches the couple by surprise but is no less passionate which keeps the reader glued to their seat as they wait to find out just how things will work out for them and since the scenes and details are well written, it is very easy to become completely caught up in the story as the readers picture each and every scene. I was very excited that Kyle’s story had finally arrived and have to say that Brenda Novak didn’t disappoint as once again I was completely delighted by the Whiskey Creek characters and their happily ever afters.

    Love Whiskey Creek

I was so excited to finally read Kyle's story and it did not disappoint me. Kyle so needed his HEA, even tough he was still pinning for Olivia, who married his stepbrother and then his divorce with Noelle. When country music star, Lourdes comes to town for some quite time and write some new songs. Lourdes ends up staying with Kyle, just as friends. As their friendship develops can they fight off their mutual attractions for each other even though they both want different things out of life. I always love returning to Whiskey Creek, catching up with old friends and making new friends. Loved the Christmas wedding! I highly recommend this book along with the rest of the Whiskey Creek stories.

    I loved this book!

There are no words to describe how much I love this series. The characters and the stories are all so unique and amazing. Kyle and Lourdes are great characters, and throw in some of the other Whiskey Creek residents, and you have another magnificent story. Kyle is one of my favorites, and since he is one of the last singles in the group, I feel like I've been waiting for his story forever. It was well worth the wait, and I was not disappointed. You can't go wrong with Brenda Novak, especially her Whiskey Creek series. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Winter Wedding by Brenda Novak

A Winter Wedding by Brenda Novak I love contemporary romance and Brenda Novak does it exceptionally well. This is Kyle's story. In this small town, there are dozens of friends that hang out, support each other, and stay as part of each other's lives. That may not always be comfortable or easy, as is the case here with Noelle. She and Kyle are divorced and have been for years, yet he still helps her out, gives her money, and is generally nice because in a distant way, she's family. But she's mean. And obsessed. And we hope she gets caught when she does bad things! Crowd scenes can be a bit confusing if previous books have not been read but mostly don't have an impact on the story as a whole. If you have read previous books, it's a little visit with old friends. Lourdes Bennett has some tough decisions to make. She believes her boyfriend is cheating on her. Since he is also her manager, that's make for a life changing event. Kyle Houseman rents out a few houses he owns as investment. He knows who Lourdes is when she signs the lease but doesn't think much of it. Until the furnace at the rental doesn't work and she ends up living in his house where temporary turns into something more. Which Noelle doesn't like one bit. Excerpt: "Or maybe it was just that Kyle was so comfortable in his own skin. Has she ever met a man more self-assured? She'd seen plenty of arrogance in her line of work. And vanity. The vanity was worse than the arrogance. But Kyle was different. He seemed at peace with who and what he was, and she admired his quiet strength, even though she didn't know him very well. He was the calm at the center of the storm, she thought." Excerpt from The Winter Wedding by Brenda Novak I received a copy of this book from the author.
