  • A pleasure to read

This Christmas anthology, from three stars of Regency romance, features three couples stranded at a country inn. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review. When We Finally Kiss Good-Night by Sabrina Jeffries If you've read the Duke Dynasty series, you'll recognize poet Konrad Juncker. In this story, he's reunited with lost love Flora, who works as a lady's companion. The two still have feelings for one another, but their financial situation doesn't allow them to marry. Can they find a way to be together? Jeffries' deft, vivacious style makes this story a pleasure to read. Readers who've followed Konrad through the Duke Dynasty series will be happy to see him get a satisfying HEA. An Unexpected Christmas Gift by Madeline Hunter Innkeeper Jenna has closed the inn for Christmas, but an ice storm brings an influx of stranded travelers. Among them is Lucas, who's been struck down with a fever while on the trail of a thief. As she nurses him back to health, the two grow close. But will the information he uncovers tear them apart? This starts out as a tender romance, but the intrigue grows as the story progresses. The characters are likable and well-developed. Despite the length, this story carries a lot of punch. When Strangers Meet by Mary Jo Putney Kate and Langdon met briefly at a tavern in Bombay years ago. But that night changed their lives forever, even though they went their separate ways. Now reunited, do they finally have a chance to fall in love? Kate is a fun, upbeat character who brings light to Langdon's darkness. It's a pleasure to see them gradually get to know each other and discover what they can mean to each other. Kate is a smart, strong, independent woman who deserves a man who will let her be her true self, and Langdon is that man.

  • The perfect holiday read!

When We Finally Kiss Good Night by Sabrina Jeffries: This was such a great novella. It included so much of the Christmas traditions that began during this time period or those that had not yet spread widely. Flora and Konrad were likeable characters that I found easy to connect with. Konrad especially won my heart. He had made decisions that cost him Flora’s heart and was at a loss how to win her back. Especially since he found himself in a position that was not favorable to making her his own forever. Despite the novella length, this felt full and well rounded. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well as the premise that brought them all together. With a bit of spice topping it off made this all the more easy to love. The Unexpected Gift by Madeline Hunter: This was a pleasant surprise with it’s touch of mystery running through it. It consisted of a story that was multi-layered and fully developed. Another full fledged novella as the previous one. I was a huge fan of Lucas and Jenna. Their chemistry was believable and there was an edge of anticipation as Lucas tried to find what he was looking for. That also carried with it the promise of angst that kept me on the edge. When Strangers Meet by Mary Jo Putney: This was a nice little read. I enjoyed that the author added the charm of a small kitten to the mix. The hero and heroine were very likeable and their story entertaining.

  • Love comes in many different ways!

I love when these three ladies get together and write. The novellas all blend together into a wonderful Christmas story. Seeking shelter from the ice storm a group of travelers find themselves at White Rose Inn. The Inn is closed for the holiday, no one is refused, but expected to fend for themselves and help with the meals. All are grateful and gladly contribute in anyway they can. It’s a story of lost love, new love and unexpected love and captures the Christmas spirit throughout. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.

  • A Yuletide Kiss!

This book was filled with three historical romance novellas that I couldn't put down. They were filled with characters and situations that were very intriguing. All three stories were based on the same set of events, but each story was based on different characters point of view. I loved that! I expect anyone who enjoys a good historical romance will love this book.

  • Three Couples Fall In Love at The White Rose Inn

This sweet, slightly sexy holiday book has three separate stories in it and they all revolve around guest who get stranded at The White Rose Inn. WHEN WE FINALLY KISS GOOD NIGHT by Sabrina Jeffries If you are a fan of Sabrina Jeffries' Duke Dynasty series, you will love that Konrad Juncker finally gets his own story. Konrad has pined for Flora Younger ever since he first met her and made a mess of things. Can he finally get his happy ever after after a second chance with her when they are snowed in? THE UNEXPECTED GIFT by Madeline Hunter When widower Jenna Waverly has stranded, unexpected guests showing up at her inn, The White Rose even though it is closed because of the holiday, she doesn't have the heart to turn them away. When one of these guest is found laying in the snow outside and noticeably sick, Jenna decides to nurse the man back to health. Lucas Avonwood has been trying to track down a man who has been cheating people. When he wakes up he finds himself being taken care of by a lovely woman that he can't seem to ignore. Lucas' mission may have found him something he wasn't even look for! WHEN STRANGERS MEET by Mary Jo Putney Kate Mcleod is stranded in a snowstorm and who shows up? Her husband, Daniel Faringdon, whom she hasn't seen since he married her seven years ago! Daniel rescued her seven years ago but didn't realize that the marriage vows he took were real. It is obvious the attraction is there, but can these two make a real go at their marriage? I just loved this sweet, slightly sexy book! I loved how each of the couples had a second chance at love. I also really enjoyed how each of the stories interwove with the others. It was like you were getting the same story from six different perspectives. If you enjoy a fun holiday read, with wonderful characters, give this one a try.
