Abducted review 4-18-16 USA Today bestselling author Robert Swartwood brings us his most page-turning psychological thriller yet. "Scream and I'll cut your throat." In an instant, Ashley's life changes forever. Two dangerous criminals have escaped from maximum-security prison. Taken as their hostage, Ashley has to play their game if she wants to save her family — and herself. But they've underestimated Ashley. She'll do anything to survive. PRAISE FOR ABDUCTED: "Abducted is a quick, tight thriller that moves like the wind and keeps you guessing. Just when you think you know the score, you don't." —Joseph D'Agnese, Derringer Award-winning author of The Mesmerist What did I like? Well the first thing I would like to say is that I totally agree with the above statement. Although I have to say that this was the fastest that I have finished a book. I was so hooked on page one and read the whole thing in one sitting, just could not put it down. I really liked the way he hooked you and kept the mystery going to the very end. There are not many authors that can do that from page one and this author has done it. What will you like? A story line like no other I have read. Well developed, thoroughly researched, effectively written and does not lose you. Characters that are totally believable, colorful, effectively written and will have you loving and hating at the same time. An ending that you will not for the life of you see coming. I thought a dozen times that I had it all figured out only to be wrong! Robert has a number of books out but I do believe that Abducted is his best to date but make room in your library because I think that he has the hang of it and will be giving us many more in the future. I received this from the author for an honest review and everything written here is my own opinion with no compensation other that the ARC that was sent to me.

  • Watch your back

This story has more twists than a samba dancing python. The characters are well developed and realistic. The plot is intense. The only drawback was keeping me awake until I finished it. The story was so involving I hadn't noticed until I was done.

  • Book title caught my attetion.

This story was full of suspense & kept me reading to find out what would happen next. It was not a 'run of the mill' mystery so it did keep me guessing. The characters were well thought out & believable. I thoroughly enjoyed the story & will look for more books by this author.
