    First Kiss, Loved it!!

Loved the first kiss, shouldn't it always be the best!! But it was something that Kylie and Joe tried to forget. Kylie though, now needs Joe's expertise in helping her find the lost penguin. The penguin is a one of a kind and holds many sentimental memories. Joe and Kylie join forces in the hunt of the penguin but soon they can't fight off the sexual chemistry that they share. The only problem is Joe is not the forever man or will it change with Kylie. I so enjoyed this book, plenty of humor, friends, romance and the mystery of the penguin. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book. Jill Shalvis is an auto buy for me!!

    About that Kiss

Jill Shalvis...you are the best. I have loved every one of your books, but this one takes the cake. What a beautiful love story, and quite suspenseful and humerous to boot, can’t wait for your next one.

    Contemporary Romance - excellent

About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis Heartbreaker Bay #5 I smiled I cared I felt like I was there This series is wonderful! I have loved every story so far and cannot wait for the next one to be written! A carved wooden penguin goes missing and Kylie Masters calls in the big gun –Joe Malone - to find the last carved piece she has that her grandfather made for her. The kiss in the title is one that happened a few months before and is being ignored by both Kylie and Joe…even though they can’t foret it…so asking him for help is also setting them both up for potential romance. Joe is a quiet alpha male that works for a security firm in the building where a magic fountain, when a coin is tossed into it, can provide one’s true love…and he is leery of said fountain since four alpha males he knows have bitten the dust after a coin WAS tossed into it and a wish was made. Kylie is a woodworker, trained by her grandfather, who is more comfortable in steel toed boots, jeans, flannel shirt and goggles than fancy togs. She has a delightful canine with issues – a dog that adds to this charming story ;) With research to be done, stakeouts to be endured, disguises to wear, pasts to explore, family issues to discuss, romance in the air and a nefarious type holding the penguin for ransom this is a story that kept me turning pages rapidly as I eagerly waited to find out just how Kylie and Joe would achieve their HEA together. At the end of the book I was satisfied…more than satisfied… BUT I was also left wanting to know about so many more of the supporting characters mentioned in the book…I mean…Molly, Hayley, Tina, Sadie are top of the list of females and then there are the single men on the team working with Joe for Archer and Spence’s friend Caleb and…well…this series won’t lose steam for some time if each story yet to be written is as good as the one that preceded it! Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars

Perfect characters with a great story!

Ever since Joe Malone and Kylie Masters shared that earth shattering kiss outside of the bar, they avoid each other like the plague. Neither of them ever expected a kiss would make them feel all those feelings. Kylie couldn't understand why Joe wouldn't talk to her. Joe Malone is a loner. He was in the Army's special forces, did a stint in the MMA and now works for Archer at his security/investigation company. Joe also is Molly's brother. When Joe needs to get Molly a birthday present, a mirror that Kylie made at her woodworking shop, Joe must finally talk to Kylie. I just loved the smart aleck banter between these two! When something important to Kylie goes missing, she makes a deal with Joe....he helps her find her penguin and she will make Molly a mirror. Kylie insists on being with Joe every step of the investigation. This of course causes a lot of great moments between the two of them. As they spend more time together, their feelings start to come out. This was such a fun, sexy story. I loved these two characters. They were both stubborn but so great together. The added mystery with the penguin was fun. Overall, another great story by Jill Shalvis!

    Joe and Kylie

I loved Joe and Kylie's story. She's been alone for a long time with not a lot of support. Joe grew up tough and protective of everyone with a PTSD father. When he finally lets her in it is the greatest. Love the plot line, characters, and steamy romance
